  1. Anyone tested this out yet? I tried for a few days and every shot is a draw (which i naturally fade and slice). My 7 iron goes 200 yards. I was using the simulator stick.
  2. I have this on my tablet, will bring it to the range to compare ball flight
  3. For those who have this already, Under Practice Range, are you having trouble registering the swings? I took one shot and no matter how many swings I take it doesnt register a swing. And for the times it does register, it's always a nice draw
  4. How does the hybrid or large club head such as woods suppose to sit at address? If i let it sit on it's own bottom, the club face is pretty open to target line... if i align it to the target line, it looks de lofted and there is some play on the back/bottom.
  5. Just working on my swing and reading some online information. I got confused as to the sequence of the right arm dropping into the slot. Some are saying to drop in the slot then bump, others are saying bump then drop. Which is it? Right now I have (I usually count the steps in my head to get the right tempo) Shoulders turn to start takeaway Club Parallel to the Ground (no hinge) Arm Parallel to the Ground (full wrist hinge with butt pointing to the ball plane) Shoulders continue to turn until left shoulder hits chin (hips should be 45 degrees closed to target line) Bump toward target (90% weight on left side, foot driving into the ground feeling) Drop right arm into slot (to promote a inside out path) Hip turn toward target Shoulders following Arms + Hands (backhanding the ball feeling) Impact Follow through (hitting up to the sky and both arms straight) Do i have this sequencing right or something is out of order?
  6. In for 1 premium pack, thanks for the share. I was looking for some type of simulator with some data to work with practicing in the backyard with net. I'll be interested to see how accurate it will be, either way, will be cool to play some winter golf!
  7. no no, legit question! I seem to not be able to breathe when i'm working on positions and swing things. If i try to breathe, i lose all my form. Not sure if why.
  8. As i am practicing my hip turn and posting left leg to start the downswing, i started noticing that i will hold my breathe really hard and wont release until after the completion of the swing. During a regular swing, i dont really notice as it will be over. During practice and drills, where i pass on top of backswing, hip slide and turn, swing, i have a good 10 seconds of holding it in, i get light headed and dizzy and many even sometimes sick in the stomach. I can't seem to breathe and just stop breathing when i am focusing on all the steps. Any drills to breathe?
  9. @iacas couple questions regarding the elbow. Tried this at the range and it's VERY hard to keep checking if the elbow goes past the seams. Any training aids i can utilize to indicate the backswing is maxed out and any further is my arms just breaking down? I was thinking about programming a few button bluetooth sensors and sticking them on my elbow and inseams and program a light bulb to light up everytime it passes the inseams. Or recording and reviewing is the only way? 2nd question, should i work on 2 drills together or just one at a time?
  10. Yeah this video had a very weird feeling for me lol. I was thinking about the wrist hinge and hold and doing my third waggle and that's all i thought about. It messed me up a bit. I think it's the first time video jitters. Didnt feel very natural to me, so i just tried to "swing" without all my steps. And after watching the video, i noticed i take a long time to prep for the swing, i FEEL i usually dont take this long and also the hinge and cocking seem exaggerated to me, but who knows, the video shows more than what i feel. i'm going to work on those 2 drills that iacas has provided and also trying to keep the club head in front of me on the takeaway.
  11. Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify, i should be working on keeping my elbows in front of my shirt seam. (keeping the triangle between the arms and chest in one solid piece, instead of stretching/distorting it at the top of my backswing) And also work on the wall drill to help me get a secondary axis tilt on my left leg creating a forward hip bump. Correct?
  12. watching my own videos, made me realized how long i take to swing lol... i noticed a chicken wing on left arm and way over swinging on the backswing. Can someone please give me feed back on my swing?
  13. just made a member swing thread... see below. hope the videos are good. first time recording and i think V1 distorted the quality.
  14. I've been Playing Golf for: 1 year My current handicap index or average score is: 105 My typical ball flight is: fade The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slice/fade Videos:
  15. I do follow hogan's principals and also incorporate some jack Nicklaus techniques. I found them to be very similar. I also do the hinge and hold for chip shots. I was taught this by the club pro on a course lesson, to use it when i need to get over an obstacle and just go 3 inches back 3 inches forward with the hinge and hold. He also showed me the bump and run, but i like making the ball pop up on to the green. I have tons of fun doing it and do pretty well on short game and putting. My long game is terrible. Driver - woods - hybrids - 5 iron all does a slice. I can not hit anything longer than 150 yards. But within 150 yards, i'm very relaxed and confident. (Must be all the pitch and putt, I've practiced on) I've looking up some taking video 101s, so that i can set up my iphone on the range to take a video of my swing. I will post some soon.
  16. I just watched Nick faldo's video. That is exactly how I do it... If its only a drill are you suppose to do it on the course? I never see anyone else do it but me and people have asked why I do it. Not even sure how I developed it. I think it must be from my waggle. I pre set it twice and on the third time I hold in preset and I start the back swing.
  17. hmm... my good shots where i the club feels like butter and everything feels right, the ball does pull left of target. I was always wondering why it felt so good but went left of target. i will set up a filming area and start a thread. thanks!
  18. I have this tendency to cock my wrist to start my takeaway/backswing. Is this something i should probably get rid of? I would address the ball, waggle a few times, by turning my left hand inward ( club point to the back, and the butt of the club will point to the target) on my third waggle, i would just leave it there instead of returning to address and then turn my shoulders until my hips start turning and and my left knee will flex. (like a baseball swing) When i do this, i hit the ball straight and square. But the club head goes behind my body fairly quickly. When i forget to do this, i noticed i dont have a wrist hinge when my left arm is parallel and i will fade or slice the ball. And i will try to make a wrist hinge somewhere on the way up and the whole swing falls apart and i'll thin or fat it. Does anyone else do this wrist cock thing? It's like a trigger for me... My tempo and swing speed is smooth and rhythimic but when i'm watching everyone's review and videos, no one does this. Maybe i am compensating for something?
  19. Want a practice area for the winter, i hate driving to the range 40 minutes away. Work and Life gets in the way of practice. I would love to be able to practice in my own backyard as soon as possible
  20. Looking to build a backyard practice area, driving net, chipping are and a putting green. Attached pic is not mine, but my inspiration to build something like this before the snow hits! Anyone can recommend a list of drills to practice in the backyard? I found bobby lopez's 2 o clock and stick drill. I like how those will sync up my swing but want a feel more drills for short game and putting area.
  21. I started developing a weird backswing sensation... At the top of my backswing, i can feel the entire weight of the club resting on my thumb. By the end of the session or round, my right thumb will be insanely sore from using it's muscle. I thought the weight of the club is suppose to sit in the V between the pointing finger and thumb, but i feel the entire weight on the thumb alone. To combat this, i noticed i would unconsciously open my thumb V during the downswing to "hold on to the club properly" so that it doesnt feel loose. Another thing i noticed is at impact, my right thumb pushes the club through the ball... (i'm thinking these 2 things are related and i am keeping the face open at impact) Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on what is going on? I can't figure out the right sensation anymore at the top of the backswing.
  22. I've been practicing my swings and lately i have noticed something with my posture and shaft lean. I noticed that if was bend too far forward (due to tiredness or energy or passion) i would thin/top the ball pretty often. But when i hit the ball clean, i have a more upright posture. I would say a little less than 1 o clock but if i get past 1 o clock, i would top the ball often. Do you think the clubs are too long? or should i just play with the posture i play well with? 2nd question, i know you should have forward shaft lean. But are you suppose to create this "artificially" but shift your left arm toward the target? Or the shaft lean happens automatically when you have spine tilt away from the target? This goes along with my more upright posture, i can feel my chest pecs touching the insides of my bicep like i am forming a triangle. when i spine tilt away from the target, my arms/hands naturally create a forward shaft lean.
  23. What is the role of your arms? Specifically your right? I have been playing a lot and I've noticed that my swing is slowing down in my head and I am start to feel and see more actions during the swing. One of the things I've noticed is that right at impact if I push with my right arm and turn shoulders more left with the right side of my body, I get about 10 to 15 more yards and height. I've always used my left side and guide the whole swing with left arm trying to hit the imaginary ball in front of the ball and then let the swing go wherever it wants to go to complete the finish. My right arm would remain passive and will be pulled by the left arm or side. What is the correct job for the right arm / side? When I push with my right arm at impact,i also maintain my tilt more and at my finished pose , I will be tilted and looking under the ball while it's flying.
  24. What's your goto technique for distance control? And why Say you are in between clubs and decides to go more club. Grip down? Open face? Shorter swing Weight forward
  25. Has anyone tested or done a review on the D2+ Feels new generation yet? I know they sold the corporation again so is the new generation the same tech as the prior gen? I only ask because Dick's sells both versions and not sure which to load up on. I know pre-2013 D2+ feel has good raving reviews.
