  1. I have never changed me Cap since coming to the site. Last few rounds have been 87 88 92. I didn't say I was carrying my driver 250. I said I was hitting it 250. Second why would I come to a golf forum for help and lie about my distances. When I played Thursday I hit a 5 iron into a 205 yard par 3 hit about a 10 yard draw almost a hook and found my self pitching from and area back and left of the green. This post wasn't about how far I hit a 25* 5 iron but how bad I must suck to hit a 300 yard drive( with roll out) once every 50 swings and not be able to hit it 260 the rest of the time.
  2. well in my defense my irons are callaway diablo edges and the five iron has a loft of 25* that's almost a 3 iron in most sets. I if I hit a a great shot I track it with skydroid on my cellphone. I would say its accurate to about 3 yards. Also I'm 24 and about 230 with a huge john daily gut, so there is a lot of weight behind me. Really not just wanted to know if anyone sucks bad enough to be so erratic. Anyway still shot an 87 so it was a great day for me.
  3. I don't consider my self a short hitter with anything but the driver. I actually think I hit it above average. It just weird the huge discrepancies you get from hitting one flush to hitting one a little off. I'm talking over 50 yards. I'll be hitting my usual 250 then all of sudden by golf buddies are wondering how I just blew it by them once every 2 rounds
  4. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. Some times I leave the driver in the bag because I'm such a short hitter with it.I normally get it out there about 250. I can hit my 5 iron 210 and my 3wood about 240 so there is no reason to hit it. Well thursday I decided to play and every hole was the same nothing past 260 besides the 14th hole I hit a gps confirmed 308. Today I was hitting it even shorter 240 or 245 when I walk up to a par 5 and hit a gps confirmed 325 all conditions were normal no tail wind or anything. Sucks knowing that I'm not really a short hitter, I'm just awful 99.99% of the time.
  5. After never being able to hit the ball left and slicing everything I took some lessons and was improving greatly. I had about 6 rounds a row in the mid 80's, not great by some of your standards but great by mine. Anyway after the lessons my shots were straightening out a little every round. When I put those great rounds together i had a baby draw, then a 5-10 yard draw. Now I'm struggling to break 90 with a massive 20 yard draw/hook. It's very predictable and my drives and wood roll out forever, but sometimes you just can't play a 20 yard draw. I know I'm turing the club over at impact or right before, but if I hold off on the turn I hit 50% good 25% I leave way out right and 25% even though I'm trying to hold of I manage to but the same draw on it. Any tips or drills? The reason I think it's the wrist instead if other problems is the ball always starts right before turing if I was hitting a pull/hook I would think it would start left and go more left.
  6. have the same bag and mine does fine on a riding cart. I just set it with the legs facing the seats and loop the strap through the top carry handle with no problem. Don't have a push cart so can't help you there
  7. come on someone out there has hit both right. Want to pull the trigger this weekend but cant find info on which one is more forgiving and just a better all around iron.
  8. sorry to bring up a dead thread but I'm also torn between the two. The SZ's are on the golfdigest hot list but I hear great things about the s9 II and they look amazing so what's the difference
  9. have a sumo2 5900 love it I can still slice it if I don't get my hands around. But way easier to hit then any thing else . I hit it about as far as every other driver I have tried but every once and awhile I bomb it and I mean it goes for ever. found my ball on the green once or twice on a par 4. everything I have heard about the cleveland was awesome to so I don't think you can go wrong with ether.
  10. I keep most of my weight forward during my backswing at the advice of my instructor. When I don't I have a tendency to lean almost fall back during the swing causing a very high slice. The thing I'm working on now is the inside out swing path it's pretty difficult but when you get it right it's impossible to hit a slice. When I revert back to the out side in I come a cross and slice it.
  11. I would go with the new nike sling shots over both of those but if you have to have one of those go with the r7 and I'm a nike guy
  12. budgetgolf.net had nike sumo2 5900 with the v2 shaft for 120 new I snagged one and love the club I just crush it
  13. agree the O for the alignment aid takes awhile to get used to. It makes the put almost all feel I still might rather have the traditional line but as far as feel and distance control it's perfect
  14. agree ebay the putteman circa 62 got mine today great feel better then my detour and way better then any odyssey or tm putter in my opinion but some people cant stand them
