Hi, I'm going to be staying with a friend in Point Richmond, just accross the bay.

Hi All, Going up the the Bay Area over the Thanksgiving holiday and am planning a couple of golf days in the area. The first will be Harding Park just because I want to play the Presidents Cup course, and I hear it's a great course. The other, I'm not sure about. Any suggestions?

Hell, Seve would have been great on Big Break, little Break or even Medium Break! Seve was the shot maker man.

Hi GolfGal, Wondered when you'd show up. Always enjoy your input on BB.

Hi All, Lefty may be correct. I didn't realize how dreaded it was to even mention the S word, let alone create a thread dedicated to it. I'll try to use better judgment in the future. How bout a thread on putt pulling?

Hi All, You may recall a recent thread I posted about the shanks and how I had a really really bad case of them. Well. They went away. What the hell is this thing they call the shanks? Mystery? Myth? Illness? Idiocy? Went to the driving range with my pro to get straightened out and to my surprize, I was hitting solid shots for the first time in weeks and it still cost me 80 bucks for the lesson. Remember Ian Baker Finch and his case of the shanks? It got so bad that nobody wanted to be paired with him for fear of catching what ever he had that gave him the shanks. It continues to be a mystery to me. It showed up and then left just as abruptly as it came. It may sound odd but I think it's about time we started researching this phenomonom. We may be able to get a federal research grant devoted to curing this dread diease.

I'll go along with Vincent as well. He has all around game and it seems that he'd have to have a really off day to get eliminated.

My game is a wreck at the moment. I mean a total wreck. I'm an 11 and was flirting with lower and all of a sudden I can't do squat!!! My driver is working well but my irons, OH MY GOD!! shanking, topping, hooking, I want to run and hide and I'm not playing again until my golf coach can fit me in next Tuesday. I think what I'm trying to say is, the wheels can come off at any time for no apparent reason (that is apparent to you) and if you keep playing without an instuctor seeing what the problem is, you can just make it worse. See your pro and have him figure it out. That's why he's the pro.

I think the producers look for someone like Andrew in every show. It gives you something to hope for. He does however seem to have game and I think that being in the public eye has given him nerves of steel. He, unlike the rest of the guys doesn't seem to want to thro up on himself. This show has more nervous nellis in it than any of the past shows I can remember.

Yes, I think that is what I'm saying.

I agree, I've spent time at some of these events as a sponsor rep and I can tell you that some of the pros I've been introduced to I had to look up when I got home. Hi, It's so good to meet you (who the hell is this guy?) Wish you the best in the event (like you have a snowballs chance of beating Tiger or Strick or anybody else I've actually heard of). How bout them Dodgers? I sometimes can't believe some of these guys made it past the mini's. And I'm a working stiff making peanuts compared to some of these guys. I'm sorry, did that sound bitter?
-
I've noticed over the past couple of years that it seems some pros really shine in the team events, Presidents cup, Ryder cup, JB for example, AK, Jim Furyk, Boo. I suppose it's just my imagination but this seems to be the case. What do you think?

Well, I gave this tip a try today at the practice range and it worked well. I shanked my first shot with my PW and then I started making pure conyact again. Shanked a couple of 4i shots when I worked up to them and then started making pure contact once again. Verse 214, I do have that problem from time to time but I don't think that it was responsible for the shanks. All in all I was very happy with my practice session today and I appreciate everyones help..

Well Guys, I think it's time for a short break followed by a visit or two to my pro. Working on my distance problem I've all of a sudden developed the shanks. I mean it's awful, like some kind of non contagious golf desease. Time after time, shank, shank shank. I think I'd rather go back to a short 4 iron than this.

Hi guys, well, i'll try slowing my swing on the longer clubs and see what gives. Don't carry a 3. Ball flight on 7 is very high, i'always had a high trajectory, 4 looks about normal so i'll report back after trying your tips. Thanks guys.b-)

The velocity of your backswing doesn't match the equal lateral point of the spine indicator at the 2/5ths. point of the equalatitator. However the tangent point of the head in relationship to the hypotanus seems to be perpendicular to the grip at mass contact. So my suggestion would be to Keep your head still!!!!!!

Hi all, I'm a little confused about a particular problem I'm having. My 170 club is a 7 iron. That seems to be about a normal club to distance ratio but it pretty much seems to stop making sense there. My 185 club is my 4 iron. Seems like I'm wasting a couple of slots in my bag. Contact seems to be pure with both clubs and I cant figure it out. Any answers out there?????

Everytime I'm matched up with a 30 plus handicapper and we play scratch.

Absolutely, I'll meet you at Pelican Hills in Newport Beach on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. How's that for co-operation You'll recognise me, I'll be the one with the really short clubs and checkered diaper.

The left one

I've got to think that the brother will be on the show for a while but I don't think either will win. Mike is going to hang in there and unfortunately Guilliani will too. It should be and it will be (BARF)
-
I had no idea this was the case. I'll not be quite so hard on myself for a 170 7 iron.
-
I believe the challenge was; the six farthest shots onto the green. That's how Giulliani made the next show even though he had only hit the ball from 100 yards, only six guys stuck the green.

I'm not sure but I think the producers thought that Hwy 18 may have been a little too dangerous. Scurrying from place to place as fast as they could on the road and the Ashleys just about had a heart attack on the last challenge. If they do another Hwy series I think it's gonna be pretty watered down. Also think that Disney is great! growing up in So. Cal in a very poor family I had won a trip to Disneyland with my best buddy and it might be the most memorable time of my childhood. When I take my grand kids today I enjoy it just as much as they do, maybe even a little more. As you can see by my avitar I've never really grown up. Not as cute as I was then but still as child like.
