  1. Things I'm working on More consistency with irons - figured out that the ball position in my stance has been causing a lot of bad shots, so need to get a good setup routine to stick with before every shot. Patience is a subset of what I need to work on, I suppose More accurate distance with wedges - within 80-50 yards tends to kill me in terms of getting the right distance. Usually sits on the fringe or far out from the hole, or is way over the green. Probably should start learning my lob wedge for closer shots on small greens 85 or better - Getting close to this goal, but of course it pretty much depends on the day Staying under 90 on at least 10 rounds - Got a lot of rounds to reach this. Goes along with my 10 good shots per round goal. Tomorrow: hoping that all my iron practice and posture work has paid off. We'll see!
  2. Got a chance to go out on the range and try a more upright posture today, seemed to help a lot with consistency. Just need to get used to setting up like that from now on. Thanks for the tips!
  3. Hm, I was hoping that wasn't going to be an answer but I guess it's unavoidable. Thanks for the opinion(s), guess I'll have to spring for some irons soon.
  4. Basically I haven't played for a couple years and just got back to playing around a month or two ago. Noticed my iron work degraded immensely with unintentional draws/hooks and decided to go in-depth with figuring out my swing, which I've never really done before. Shot some video today and I don't really like what I see, but my irons have been improving a lot. Basically just looking for thoughts on anything obviously wrong with my swing at this point. Do note that I'm pretty tall, around 6'1", and my clubs aren't exactly a fit for tall people (didn't notice until watching, but I have to hunch down quite a bit to feel comfortable swinging). Also, this is a 9 iron (anything lower and I'd be hitting onto a highway. Found that out the hard way. Oops!). Anyway, any advice/critique/whatever else would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Golden Bear irons. Had 'em for 4 years now and they've never let me down, starter set or no!
  6. A nonstop intake of Yuengling.
  7. Not much you can do except hope it doesn't start bouncing around. Played on some nasty ones today, but it started raining around the 11th and that helped to calm them down a bit :V
