  1. I love sweet tea. As far as casually drinking hot tea or just coffee I'll just take it black.
  2. There is a difference between not planning on tipping and being denied service. Threads like these just remind me of college and serving people hand and foot who rack up bills in the hundreds of dollars where I waited on their every need and they still payed in exact change while I made 3 dollars an hour doing so. I consider people like that to be deadbeats.
  3. Has anyone had any experience with Wilson Staff Ci7 wedges? I found a set including a gap and sand wedge for 60 dollars. I also found a set of Orlimar M.T.C 3 wedge set for 50 dollars (52,56,60).
  4. I can't stand those gigantic driver heads. Anything over 400cc is just too big for me and it seems like they compromise swing speed with all the resistance they create.
  5. As do I. What you should do is snoop around a store for a while one weekend and hit all the hybrids then go online and look for the one that felt the best. Personally I love the Bafflers. Depending on what brand you're looking at the 2H might be an 18 or 19 degree, so keep that in mind.
  6. Where did you get that deal new? On most sites I see them for that price each.
  7. My opinion on tipping is that you shouldn't be eating out if you don't plan on tipping. Not only is it rude, you're wasting their time and all they are trying to do is make an honest living.
  8. Chances are you just have a crappy video card.
  9. It's a cardinal sin to get Cheese Nips when Cheez-Its are available. The Wheat Thins crackers are great too. Have you ever mixed Cheez-Its with Wheat Thins before? If you haven't you should.
  10. I don't even know why we (Atlanta) even have a team anymore.
  11. I will, thanks for the input.
  12. I think the close range shots are too important to your score to try to throw in an extra wood. Something you may want to try is go to your range and see if there is an iron in your bag you just don't hit well that can overlap some distance. You might be able to do something along the lines of exchanging your six for your 4 wood.
  13. I'm looking for something along the lines of 52,56, and 60 degree lofts. Which clubs will give me the most spin, durability, and cost efficiency? I've had my eye on some Vokeys just to keep it in the family (my irons are Titlelists), but I'd have no problem looking at any other brands.
  14. Technically it was an online purchase, but I got a 2H Cobra Baffler Pro for 50 dollars. The last in store purchase I got were some Wilson golf balls on sale at The Sports Authority.
  15. I love the site callawaypreowned.com Depending on what I'm looking to buy, I will go to Golf Galaxy or The Sports Authority. I usually only get gloves, spikes, and occasionally balls from those places because almost everything is overpriced there and I don't have a ton of disposable income to throw at golf all the time.
  16. are you tilting the face of the club at all? the only other thing i can think of is if the ground is moist.
  17. lately i've had a bit of a rocking motion. then i try to correct by leaning forward and i slice it a bit or a lean back too much to correct that and pull the ball to the left a little too much. is there anything i can do to help keep body still during the swing (besides a lot of practice of course)?
  18. you might be pulling your head during your swing. keep your eye on the ball son...quite cliche but i think it will help. also don't be shy about extending your arms.
  19. let me paint you this picture. i'm trying to improve my iron game after work and this driving range is in the middle of a pasture (no trees to block any wind) and the best i can hope for is 10-15 mph head wind on a good day. now this doesn't translate to the course very well. the course does have wind blockage and my shots on the course go a heck of a lot further than they do on the driving range. so, to get to the question...how do i know i'm improving my distance at the range?
  20. i have a similar problem. the ground tends to be dry on the course (drought) so when i do take a divot it disrupts my swing pretty badly.
  21. also check out callawaypreowned.com. they have other brands as well. i would advise getting something a notch above the category named "average condition". good luck.
  22. i did that to a steelhead driver once. i think it was because i was playing a round when the temperature was in the high 40s or something. i actually still have the driver (obviously not still under manufacturers warranty anymore) do you think they would fix it? i really liked that club.
  23. yea i would definitely go for the steel shafts. before you look for deals online go to a pro shop and try out as many irons in your price range as possible so you get the ones that feel the best.
  24. well, i'm not really worried about my irons but i am interested as to if the woods' distances are effected by continued usage. the grooves on my irons look good and there's hardly and wear on them to be honest (they aren't forged). although i am curious as to how much would it cost to get the irons checked out by a clubfitter to look at the loft/lie angles.
  25. similar to metal baseball bats (specifically the woods)?
