  3. Correct, cigar really is an obstruction regardless if it has been smoked and discarded or brand new. However, chips may be either loose impediments or obstructions depending on the way of manufacture. Chips whittled by an idle boy scout are loose impediments as they have not been made for any spesific purpose. On many courses manufactured wood chips are used to protect newly planted trees or as path coatings. By definition these chips are obstructions. Although on some courses they have been declared as integral parts of the course or loose impediments by a Local Rule.
  4. What is the ruling if a person attending the flagstick accidentally drops his ball (or any other object of his) on player’s moving ball having been putted from within the putting green? Is the player subject to two penalties based on Rule 17-3b or is his stroke cancelled and replayed according to Rule 19-1b (and Dec. 19-5/1.7)?

Just thing of size of driver club heads and skills with wcich these guys used their blade 1-irons! I am not saying golf is eays today, no sir, but modern equipments are compensating a lot. So I value Jack more.
  6. My original plan for the past winter was to get my swing more inside-out as I have been hitting minor slice as long as I can remember. Unfortunately I experienced a major problem in my leg and had to undergo an operation which has prevented my winter practice altogether. Gradually I am getting back in shape but have to be patient yet with all kionds of movements and exercises. Due to this misfortune my goal this year is to score at least one good round, i.e. to or below my handicap. There is challenge enough.
  7. I work for an international oil company in Health, Safety, Security and Environment area. For the time being I am coordinating preparations for a major safety audit in several countries in Northern Europe.
