  1. Wow, this is a bigger lie than the original post in this thread. How on earth do some of you believe this stuff when you read it?
  2. I usually either have to play Sammons in Temple (south of Waco) (crappy course) or Mill Creek in Salado (a little further south), which is a much nicer course. Sometimes we play in Georgetown/Round Rock.
  3. Fairly new here, just joining this thread. I had a few goals in the last few months that have come and gone. So far this year my handicap has gone from almost 30 to 21, and it should keep going down because I've made massive improvements. I can feel huge breakthroughs coming. Going forward, here's the goal by end of 2009: 1. Break 85 on a decent course (my best score ever is a 90 on Bethpage Red) 2. Make multiple birdies in a round (never done that) 3. Play a round with no double bogeys Beyond '09 I want to break 75 in 2010 and be a scratch by end of 2011. I'm finally in a place in my life where I can hopefully dedicate the time and energy to actually pull off that level of improvement.
  4. I got Mickelson's DVD a month or so ago and started working on his techniques. I've always been a decent but not great chipper. Gotta say, now that I finally got the feel of it, hinge and hold has helped me a great deal. I love it. I feel so much better around the greens now than I ever have. Putting basically everything within 10 feet, and most are within 6 feet. Still need to fine tune obviously, but I think this will help my scrambling quite a bit.
  5. This has nothing to do with your question necessarily, but why did you quit keeping score? I absolutely cannot play if I'm not keeping score. I just can't do the practice round thing. To me, if I'm on the course, I'm trying to score. Maybe that's stupid...
  6. I don't buy it.
  7. After watching Mickelson's video on short game, I now use my 60* for basically everything inside 60 yards. Chipping especially. I love it. So versatile. Like others have said, if I need a little more roll on the ball I'll use a less lofted wedge or something, or if it's a long bunker shot I'll use a different club, but otherwise, I use that 60 on almost every greenside shot.
  8. Answer: They are lying. Mickelson said on his DVD that he hits his 60 degree wedge 90 yards. Sure, it is possible that someone here hits it farther, but I'd bet every penny I own that most of the people making the claims they are making on this thread are outright liars.
