  1. My suggestions didn’t come from clubhouse pros, but rather other members. I know they were only trying to help, but the confusion it caused was absolutely devastating.
  2. I totally agree. I had a stroke three years ago and completely had to relearn the game. I immersed myself into golf books and videos and now am a much better player than before the stroke.
  3. If you wish to sing in soprano, that could be most useful.
  4. Two comments equally. Keep your head down and your left arm perfectly straight. Led me to quit the game for ten years as I didn’t believe I had the flexibility to swing a golf club. Focused so much on keeping my head down that my chin actually touched my chest. It was so robotic and mechanical I couldn’t understand how pros could do it or maintain so many swing thoughts. Wasn’t until much later that I figured out this advice came from people who had no idea what in the hell they were talking about.
  5. I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for everyone but it’s working very nicely for me. I’m three years removed from a stroke and still have about 25% reduction in feeling on my right side. I had to completely relearn the entire game. My main issue was the grip. By using the reverse overlap for all clubs, it allows me more control by just being able to utilize all five fingers on my right hand. If other golfers recovering from strokes are having a grip issue, they may wish to experiment with the reverse overlap. It’s not just for putting. I’m 63and not a long ball hitter off the tee. With the reverse overlap my absolute maximum distance is 260 yards. I’m enjoying the game and that’s what counts.
