About Me

Retired police officer that lives in South Dakota. Have an 18 handicap. Suffered a stroke three years ago and had to completely learn game and swing all over. Still struggle with right hand issues. I’ve been settling on a reverse-overlap grip. Same I used for putting and chipping. It allows me to have all four fingers and thumb on the club with my right hand.  The grip feels sound. I’ve experimented with other grips. Interlocking, Overlapping, and 10 ginger. The first two my right hand does not feel sold. The third, sometimes my hands work against one another. I’ve thus chosen the reverse-0verlapping Grip for the reasons stated   I feel the most comfortable with it and swing my best doing it. I see Steve Jones won a U.S. Open in the late 90’s using it. While I’m no threat too do that, I feel comfortable with it. Jordan Spieth has a similar but not quite the same grip.
