I got the Diablo Edges in today and love them! When I hit them right, they go high, far, and straight! I just need to get used to them. Most came in really good shape, but on the 8 iron, the ferrule is missing. Would this cause any problems?

Thanks for that input! I actually went ahead and ordered a used set of Callaway Diablo edge irons off of Global Golf, hopefully they are in decent condition! I figure it was hard to go wrong with Callaway and they had decent reviews. I’m definitely excited to try them out!

Unfortunately I believe the R7’s got sold before I could get them! There is a set of Titleist DCI Oversized + that is 1-SW on sale for $40, I just know they’re much older. Do you have any knowledge of them?

@MarvChamp thank you for your input. Looking at those links I do believe the clubs are a great value. Later on, I plan to go to a PGA superstore and upgrade to a “better” used set, and the trade in value on the R7 line looks to be right around the $70 mark, so I wouldn’t lose anythin getting them. They also have very good ratings. @Typhoon92 I probably will try to get them! As far as the woods and driver, I know they aren’t great, but they’re not on my priority right now. I mostly just play the short course where I live and I really don’t use them too much, but when I do get the improving and going to longer courses, I’ll definirely upgrade. Here’s a list of the R7’s, are they in decent shape?

Good afternoon all! I am new to the community and have only been golfing for a couple of months. Right now my current clubs are a set Golden Bear Wide Body clubs that I got from a family friend. I noticed on an online yard sale someone selling an TaylorMade R7 iron set for $60. They aren’t in the best condition, but I was wondering if they would be considered an upgrade from what I have. The Golden bears are in pretty good shape, but I know they aren’t considered “quality” clubs, from what I’ve researched. I actually can’t find any information at all about this particular set from looking around. Is this a good price for the R7’s and would this be a worthy upgrade?
