  1. Thanks for the reply Adam. I did get the swing weight back to about a D1 I think. I put a different weighted screw in the head. It it just feels like there isn’t any pop in it and I felt more juice in my buddies older driver. Placebo effect? Maybe, but I hope to figure this out because hitting drives only 230-240 isn’t what I used to drive before.
  2. Hey Everyone, I was playing with a couple of buddies on the weekend and these guys were out driving me and I couldn't figure out why? I was using my Ping g driver with a regular Alta 55 shaft that I had cut down to 44 inches, but I have not been getting much pop out of this driver ever since I bought it off the rack at Golftown, and had them fit me to it over the other Ping drivers (I didn't try any other brand because I wanted to stay loyal to Ping). I tried my buddies club which is an old R7 with a stiff shaft and a regular length, and I was hitting as far as he was. It got me to thinking about upgrading my driver, but then I thought I should go and get fit and look at a shaft change, so I am off to Modern Golf on Saturday. I wanted to see if you guys thought I should just strictly look at a shaft change for my fairly new Ping G or should I go all in and look at every other club which would probably be a lot more expensive than the shaft change plus the fitting fee? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. You are correct here, but it doesn't make them a great golfer. I have seen some full kit wankers who hack away at that little white ball like it owes them money, but to them, at least they look the part when they roll up to the first tee box.
  4. For what it's worth, I regripped my I25 irons, Ping G driver, and G15 3 wood with Golf Pride CP2 grips and I love them.
  5. Thanks for the info guys. I haven't been on Trackman yet but I am going to go for a complete bag fitting at Modern Golf here in Vancouver in the fall(I'm a an equipment ho) because my irons are off the rack and have not been fitted, and I am interested in seeing what is out there that can help improve my game equipment wise along with my practice, plus I will get the Trackman #s for my current set. I do agree that the irons are not the problem, but I would like to see what is out there to be able to squeeze as much distance and accuracy as I can out of my equipment, and then let the rest be up to me. Question....Are you guys using the Ping I25 irons with the CFS shafts, or do you play something else? I play the CFS stiff shafts in mine.
  6. Hi everyone, First time poster, long time lurker here. I am currently gaming Ping I25 in CFS stiff shafts, and I seem to be hitting a high ball. I am a little flippy, but I have been taking lessons to take my game to hopefully single digit from the 14-15 I play at right now. I am thinking these irons are too high of launch for me and i am losing distance from them. I hit my 7 iron around 150 but it is a high ball flight and I would like to be able to get some more distance out of my irons. I did hit some Srixon Z565 and I liked how they felt when I hit them in the bay at Golftown, but they seemed to launch high as well. Is there a shaft that can help with this high flight that anyone could recommend? I know I have a bit of a swing flaw, but I have tamed it somewhat, and the flight is still high. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, and I look forward to adding my minisscle golf knowledge to this illustrious forum.
