  1. Ya I really dont feel like I spent that much but I guess its all relative. I am VERY pleased with this driver. Forget the 909 guys go for the FT-IQ its long and forgiving all you want in a driver.
  2. well I got a gift card for my birthday for 250 dollars, so it really didnt cost me to much more. I also dont spend a whole lot of money on myself usually and I decided to spend a little this time on something that will help me stay active and enjoy golf even more. The Golf Stop is the name of the place I bought the club in Kansas City.
  3. Ya I felt like it was a great deal it was marked at 399 down from 499 and the 3 wood if you bought it alone was marked at something silly like 399 also. But they could just mark the 3 wood that high to make you feel like your really getting a steal I dont know. The main thing was how good and accurate I was hitting the IQ. I guess I had to let go of the wanting to use Titleist so bad. I am not quite at the level of player that Titleist clubs are made for I dont think. Fairway finder is what the guys where calling the IQ and that sounds good to me.
  4. Well after a long analysis at the golf store. I came home with a new Callaway FT-IQ driver. I had really been wanting a 909 D3 but I just hit the Callaway so much better. I ended up going with it and I am quite pleased with its performance after going to the range and blasting it loooong. Another nice thing I thought about getting the Callaway was they threw in a FT-I 3 wood. Also the Callaway rep was at the store while I was buying the club and threw in a dozen tour ix balls which was pretty cool. Overall I feel like the upgrade from my old steelhead 3 driver is a great upgrade. Also I really like the stock shaft on the FT-IQ.
  5. Some really good information guys thanks, most likely the 909 driver will be mine. Just wondering if the stock shaft will do...?
  6. Alright I currently have some Fat shaft II distance irons and a Callaway steelhead 3 driver. I want to upgrade as they are getting old and the technology is a bit out of date. My main question is when do most new iron sets and drivers come out. I would like to get my stuff at the beginning of a product cycle instead of new ones coming out right after I drop 1500 dollars. Any help appreciated also what would you upgrade first.
  7. Man your making me think its time I upgrade im hitting the Wilson Fat Shaft distance II irons. I hit them pretty well but they are starting to get a bit old. Not sure what I should transition to. Does anyone know when new iron designs usually come out. I would hate to buy some just for the next product cycle to start soon.
  8. I hate to compare it to baseball but hitting a long drive is like a home run. Its a macho thing men like to out drive the other guys in there groups. I agree a hundred percent though hitting a pure iron is bliss.
  9. I would say muscle is something every golfer should work on. Its obviously not everything but the times you are in deep rough it will help you keep the club face square on impact.
