  1. I think its one twice more tonight. Not really a fan of the guy Kelly. Pumping his tires about how the hundreds of long drive challanges he won, and about having the up and down flop shot before Phil. Seems like it will be an interesting season, and some of the ladies are nice to look at
  2. None in Madison, but I may drive to the Milwaukee area to check out their stores if they're having sales.
  3. I should be getting my Circa '62 #3 any day now. I'll post a reply after I get it on my thoughts. I've also heard about the need to care for the putter. As long as you do that I'm sure it will be fine.
  4. I'd love to say Wisconsin, but I think I might get laughed off this board. If I had to pick someone I'd say Ohio State. For 1 they're in the Big Ten, and 2 they don't have to play the Badgers so they'll probably end the the season undefeated.
  5. If I had to pick one guy to win I'd pick Jerry Kelly. Being a Madison guy, and former hockey player there is no one other than Kelly that I can cheer for. Probably mostly because he's from my town, but also because of the way he plays. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. I loved watching him try to catch Pavin in the US Bank Championship, he gave it his all, too bad he can't putt. I think the US team could have used someone like Jerry, too bad he didn't make the Ryder Cup team.
  6. I have a 9ft long roll out green, which I haven't been overly excited about. Do most people just putt on their living room carpet or something more sophisticated?
  7. I carry 4 wedges right now, used to be 5 till I wondered why my bag was so heavy. They are: PW - Nicklaus EZ-UP 52 - Cleveland CG-10 56 - Cleveland CG-11 60 - Cleveland CG-11 Since adding in the 56 and 60 degree wedges I have been much better around the greens.
  8. Rick Reilly writer for SI recently did a story asking if you're a Phil Guy (PG) or a Tiger Guy (TG). He makes the argument that you can't be both. While I definitely root more for Phil I love watching Tiger play and after Phil was out of the PGA I wanted to see Tiger get to -20. Reilly explains that if you like Phil than you hate Tiger, I don't think that’s the case for most people. It’s not like choosing between the Yankees and Red Sox. Just wondering what other people thought. Sorry I couldn't find a link to the article without signing up for SI.
  9. Being from Wisconsin I'm a die-hard Packer Fan. Me and my 1 year old son are both on the crazy long waiting list for season tickets, maybe he'll get them by the time he's 50. This might be another long season for the Pack, but with Favre there is always room for hope.
  10. Just to catch you up. I previously played Cobra SS Irons, but this year decided I should look into new irons. I went to a local store and talked to a sales man about what might fit my game. I'm roughly a 20 handicapper mainly because of 2-3 blow up holes a round because of my lack of consistency with my driver. For the most part I hit my irons pretty solid. To my salesman’s credit I went in thinking I was going to buy something like the Ping G5's but left with the Nicklaus EZ-UP irons for $300. I haven't gotten out enough to know for sure, but overall I'm not super happy with the Nicklaus Irons and have been considering going back to my Cobra's. Next set of irons I buy I'll go to the shop at the range so I can try them out. The net at the store didn't tell me anything. If anyone has an opinion one way or another about Nicklaus EZ-Ups I'd love to hear it, thanks.
  11. Thanks for the Welcomes. I've never played Erin Hills but its just over an hour for me so its in my plans.
  12. I've also been looking for one, if someone creates their own or has one available let me know. Thanks
  13. For those of you who don't know the Badger State is Wisconsin. I browse various forums and was thinking I should find one focused on golf. I came across this on through Google and thought I'd give it a shot. I'm 28 years old and father of a 1 year old son. I can't wait till he's old enough to join me on the golf course. As far as my golf game I try to play 18 holes a week, with scores ranging from 90-100. I've never taken an offical lesson and that is one of my goals for next season. I think we a little instruction I could consistenly shoot in the 80's. I look forward to reading what other peoples thoughts are and sharing some of my own experiences.
