I am selling some of my golf books in hopes to raise some funds to put toward a new Driver. I have a Tour V2 without the slope. Its great. I use it to measure anything from hazards from the tee (bunkers, water). You can use it to find distance to hazards and distance to carry hazards. Its great for distance to the pin and picks the flag up easily in pinseeker mode. I play with friends who use GPSs and find they can be out and they are a pain for any hazard distances. It also makes me slow down and think about my shot more. Take more concern in club selection. Given the choice between a GPS or Rangefinder I take the rangefinder every time.

I started taking up golf again last spring after a few years off, I had no clubs and was going to go buy a cheap set but it turns out my brother in law had an extra set it his garage. I figured that with my brother in law being a golf Pro and a scratch golfer that they would be great clubs. So he gave me a set of Titleist DCI 990's. I started doing a little research on these clubs and they got great reviews so I started playing with them. I did a little more research and found out there were a muscleback club and more of a players club for shaping the ball. Well for me they hit well but when you mishit you knew it. I routinely shot mid-low 90s with them mid way through last year then for a wedding gift my wife got me a set of Nike Slingshots, more of a Game Improvement iron. I started using them and started flirting with 100 and I wanted to go back to the DCI's. But I found out it was more getting used to the feel and look of the club than the actual club itself. Mishits are not near as pronounced as the DCI's but well struck balls do not fly as far either but at the end of last year I put up and 85 with them so I'm looking forward to flirting with 80 this year.
