Student at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut double majoring in Business Management and Sports Management...probably law school after I graduate. Yay for debt!!!!

So I have played a variety of sports all of my life, have been playing tennis the last 2 years and love it, but its a two man sport and a lot of the times I have spare time so I decided to take up golf. I work at Sports Authority and got a discount on a set of Ram Memorial clubs. I read reviews and I know they are pretty poor in the quality department...my dad broke his iron wood today and I broke the one in the store lol. Luckily no breaks for me today, I had a lot of fun at the driving range....first time. Alot of the shots hooked right, but I did hit about 7 or 8 with the driver 200-250 yards...not bad for a beginner whos never played right??? Okay now some questions.... Why do some of the shots hook right? What is the iron wood used for? What is the hybrid used for? Thanks guys...
