  1. ya the sting frees were 8$ a pop so 11 out the door or somethin. its not the sting from the club, but i think ima put some more time on them an update you guys. i couldnt bring myself to getting winn grips.. i dont want to tear up my hands, but the wins felt to.. soft on the clubs i tried, like i couldnt feel impact with the ball. i was jst seein if anyone had any tips but looks like braking them in is the way to go. thanks guys.
  2. i can hit my goose's farther then i can hit my brothers nike forged irons. the goosenecks have some omfh to them because of the design. im not sure what it is, maybe something with the longer kneck that would give you some more leverage.. or maybe your just used to swinging the older ones so the newer set needs to be perfected. if i switch sets i tend to loose a little distance just tryin to regain tempo.
  3. ya i dont think you guys are understanding what im saying.. the grips are amazing when i hit them. They just feel like a brand new grip and there are ROUGH edges on the little inset peices. As i use them they stop being so ridged, but the feel of the grip is nice. and its not a hurt as much as it is, i like to hit alot of golf balls when i get to the range *as its winter* and after a while they start to just tendorize your hand. im usualy fine till the next day my hands are rough holding the steering wheel, i can almost still feel the little inserts on my hands lol. My 7 is pretty good now cuz i hit a ton from that club. WEll, thanks for all your opinons, i think ima just do what shanks says and to keep using them..
  4. i was looking at winlites but their like 26gm's or something.. will throw the swing weight off i think, but never actually saw them. i just wana know how to take some of the bight off of these. Sent from my T-Mobile G1 using Tapatalk
  5. i just got these grips so changing them probably wont happen. I love the grip, but the insets in the rubber is still very rigged so im looking for a way to wear them in quicker then just hitting them alot.
  6. Alright guys, i got some new grips, and im loving them. The grips are Lamkin Crossline Tour Grip .580s and compared to my midsized grips they feel great, the only issue i have is their tearing up my hads. I know that playing with them will smooth them out a bit, but they seem to be a little ruff right now, is there anything you guys do when you first get grips? ive heard of people using sandpaper on the corded grips but i was wondering if their is a way to help them out a little.
  7. i dont know what you guys are talking about on here. i play this game, and of course it doesn't feel like your swinging a club, but it does feel dang close for a video game coming from a long line of controllers and spinning a ball *golden tee* But i dont feel that this mess's up my swing tempo, or does it take any more then a normal swing to get 100%. I love this game.. might go play more right now :)
  8. Not a duck, but I'm trapping it with the top of the club. Like I'm trying to lead with my hands more, so I think I might be lighning up with my hands a little far forward. I swing pretty fast from what some of the golfers out here say so I don't think I'm muscleing the club enough with my wrist action or something. Ah what a joyful game I decided to learn. None of my friends golf, my brother does but he's a lot more experienced and honestly we have no lessons or anything so I might just have to drop a few dollars on getting someone to come out, examine my swing and help me figure out what I'm not doing right. I think my full problem is trying to use tips from mags an some tv stuff and not knowing what I'm doing in the first place is just makeing little problems into big ones.. but at this point I'm stuck on this sport. Hell, I went to the range the other day and it said 15 degrees on the car and was cold wind an I still worked up a sweat.
  9. do they only tell you the year of the club? i love my clubs, i went and hit a bucket yesterday. i seem to be trapping the ball under the big face of these clubs, so i am going to have a fun season fixing that hahah. new Lamkin grips are coming in, ill take pictures when their gripped up.
  10. i figured i'd post some images of mine to show u guys what i have. I also used a 5. i have a pw-4 but i only use 9-4. i lost the 3 but have the pw and the sw also. These are from a second hand store and didnt cost very much but i am in love with this club. these clubs are in amazing shape.. the grips were still tacky too somehow but i had to regrip them because the grips had those vertical yellow lines and i would tear my hands up with them.
  11. That is kind of weird.. mine aren't like that at all.
  12. I have a set of these too and i would like to know what they tell you man. I would like to know the email u sent them too so i can try to get some info on mine too! hey, do any of you guys not use a 2 or 3 iron from this set that you would be willing to sale?
