I own a pair of KSO's (the black "Gorilla Feet") - but hav not run in them yet. I'm still getting used to them - walking around the house, etc. I got them because I had severe plantar fasciitis for 2 years & my brother gave me Born To Run & figured "What the heck?" I do like the feel of them.

How long have you had the KSO Treks in Kangaroo leather? Are they holding up well? I could not find anyplace that carried them & was reluctant to order online without trying them, so I got the plain black KSO's. Now it looks like the Treks are discontinued (not listed on Vibram site) - did you happen to try both out?
  3. Thanks! I haven't had a chance to practice these techniques much, but they feel very good! I went out to my Monday night league & tried it cold with no practice - and seemed to hit the pitch shots more on-line & closer to the hole too! The videos are very helpful - I appreciate the effort.
  4. Great thread! Thanks Eric for the videos & still pics. I've been looking for something like this that shows Utley's bunker technique. Can you use this technique out of the sand?
  5. Just read the book (borrowed from library - now I better order my own copy!). After I finished reading, I tried a few of my current swings & realized my head moves back & forth 3-4 inches. I've struggled to break 100 the past few years (lack of playing time & injuries haven't helped much). About the only consistent thing was my inconsistency from swing-to-swing. Sometimes I hit good shots, but I could never repeat them, and hitting 5-6 in a row hardly ever happened. I really agree about that 1st fundamental - I'm hoping that Stack & Tilt will allow me to hit the ground in the same place & hit the ball more consistently.
  6. I vote for Jack. It would be interesting to see the percentages of the ages of people who vote for Tiger vs Jack. Lots of golfers nowadays haven't seen Jack Nicklaus in his prime. No surprise that Tiger is outpolling Jack. And when Tiger's career is over, if he has more majors than Jack I don't know how anyone could argue against him. But whenever you compare athletes of two eras, the older ones (especially pre-TV footage & pre-ESPN) tend to be downplayed. LeBron is awesome, but how many 18-30 year olds will even mention Oscar Robertson? (BTW, Kudos to LeBron for knowing who the Big O is while LBJ was still in high school). Heck, it's not even athletics. Take music. VH-1 or MTV has a top 100 songs of all time list, do you think they're gonna pick any song that doesn't have a video of theirs to go with it? Tiger & Jack are both great. Too bad we can't see em play each other in their primes, with similar equipment, etc.
  7. High Scool science teacher. I thought since I'd have summers off, my game would improve, but with 3 kids at home - haven't played much in the last 4-5 years.
