Apparently you haven't seen how deep into the woods I can hit a ball...a compass, or perhaps a bread crumb trail, are valuable commodities. I do have a divining rod though...it's called my 5 iron on the 11th hole of my home course--guaranteed to find water!

maybe i'm being too puritan, but at least in my book extensive extramarital affairs for a father with two little kids makes one BOTH a cr*ppy husband AND a cr*ppy dad. I didn't want to sound like i was criticizing his "decision" to play in the Open though -- i'd guess if his wife truly wanted him home because they were in process of patching things up that he would have skipped the Open...i bet he didn't have a choice in the matter.

I actually wondered how the US Open ending on Fathers' Day would affect Tiger--i.e. did thoughts of winning on Fathers' Day and having to answer some press-conference question about his kids not being there come into play? We'll never know obviously. Didn't realize it was his daughter's birthday -- although i'd bet he wasn't invited to the party; and if so, and if i were in his shoes, i'd be pretty bummed out about the whole situation, as the holiday will always serve as a reminder that his actions make him a cr*ppy dad.
