  1. What's wrong with the Nike Dymo? I have the same club and the thing goes straight and far whenever I hit it off the deck or off the tee.
  2. I can't post in the marketplace, but I'm definitely in search of a 52* gap wedge. I have a big distance gap between my PW and 56* and a spot in my bag for one more club.. Logically it'd have be a gap wedge =). Anyways, if any of you guys are looking to get rid of a wedge you have laying around reply here or private message me. Sorry, I realize this isn't exactly the right place to post, but it is the best I can do! Thanks in advance!
  3. Love my Method.. Been putting so well with it. I feel like I can start the putt on great lines and it just rolls and rolls and rolls. It just has great feel with it, especially on lag putts. I feel like I can get the putt rolling on the correct line and then it just dies right near the hole, like it knows it is supposed to. Great putter, absolutely love it.
  4. Hey ElTigre, don't worry about getting bigger stronger etc. In High School, I was a good athlete, but I was pretty small 6'3"-6'4" 150 lbs barely. I finally put on the weight and now I'm 6'5" 225. You'll get the strength, just keep working. You have the right attitude.
  5. I hardly ever get upset with myself (except for the occasional curse about a sliced drive or a fat chip). Golf's a beautiful game, it's supposed to be fun. I just enjoy walking and being out in the sunshine. I never understand why my friends or people I get paired up playing with get so frustrated with themselves. We aren't tour pros, enjoy the game, and you'll probably play better anyways.
  6. That's a Belly Putter not a regular "type" putter. I'm 6'6" and use a 35" putter with no problems.
  7. I'll try strengthening my grip a little bit a see how it goes tomorrow when I play my round and also relaxing my pressure a bit. Thanks everybody for the tips, they are much appreciated.
  8. Hey guys, Long time lurker and just recently decided to register and finally post, maybe I can add my 2 cents in at some points when necessary =). Anyways, little about me I picked up this fine game last year and was immediately hooked. I have been athletic all my life, but something about golf seemed to click. I learned as much as I could reading Hogan's Book, Haney Essentials, PM Short Game DVD etc, but that's a different time, here is my real question. I headed out to the range yesterday since the snow and weather has finally turned for the better in Michigan. I hit some very nice shots with some great ball flight, but they were all dead pushes and with my longer clubs there were push-fades to some push- terrible slices. I tried to figure out exactly what was going on by googling what caused pushes obviously coming to far from the inside with the club. Anyone have some 2 cents to help me with my new problem? Also, I understand it would be much easier to see a video of my swing and go from there but unfortunately I don't have access to a camera at this point (cheap college student) and I've seen from quite a few posts that people are quick to rip on others without that, but I was hoping someone could maybe help point me in the right direction! I appreciate the comments and any helpful tips from everyone. Also, if anyone is looking for a playing partner around East Lansing, Mi let me know I'm always down to learn from someone much better than me.
  9. The local course here at MSU is opening up tomorrow and I'm ditching work in the morning to go shoot a round of 18 after a long winter layoff. Should be an ugly round, but damn it'll be awesome to be playing golf again.
  10. Trying to get my post count up, but my best shot of last season when I decided to take of this fantastic game came in the unlikeliest of ways. I had sliced my tee shot fairly bad (like i normally do) and placed myself in a bit of a pickle. I was behind a large power line tower, also with a bit of an uphill climb from the hills in front of me. The pin was blind roughly 130-140 yards out. I grabbed my PW and took a clean swing and rocketed the ball from the face of my club. I had no idea where the ball landed as my playing partner (my g/f at the time's Dad) was watching. I asked him where the ball had landed and he responded about 15 feet from the pin. I couldn't believe it. I went on to shoot my best round of 9 that day with a 46.
  11. Long time lurker, finally joined because I need my own swing fixed instead of learning from others problems! As of now I'm a Senior at Michigan State University about to obtain my B.S. in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology. Next year I will more than likely be still stuck in a lab doing things very few people know anything about =).
