  1. If I don't sweep with the wedges they get stuck in the ground, does the turf being wet provoke this? Or is it my swing?
  2. Damn I must be doing it all wrong then lol.....
  3. I am more of a sweeper, and when using the irons long and short, I barely ever leave a divot and I do it's from a chunk! Thanks for the drill I will definetly try that today at the range!
  4. Am I not following thru correctly and is that why my wedge is getting stuck then when i try and take a divot?
  5. I read somewhere online that when using your wedges you need to take a divot in front of the ball ?! I'm pretty consistent on getting the ball up and down with my 56* niblick as well as my 58* cg15.....more consistant then my driver anyways....my question is when I hit my wedges there barely is a divot and it usually results in a great shot.....but when I do try and leave a divot my wedge gets stuck in the ground.....am i not following through properly? and should there be a divot after every wedge shot and how do you make a divot in front of the ball?!?
  6. Thank you very much everyone for the suggestions! I appreciate everyones opinion. I truly can't wait until i start, that first hour is going to FLY by!
  7. Thanks a ton iacas! That exact post you just made is the reason I love it here! Thanks for all of the helpful info!
  8. Thanks guys for the suggestions! Keep them coming.....I'm assuming that there is more to a slice than just my backswing/follow thru....that's what got me worried, I know I haven't been playing 40 years but i just don't want him to try and change everything that i've tried hard to fix myself.....
  9. So i shouldn't even bother him with what I would like him to look at with my driver swing?
  10. Well I set up my first lesson for next week and was just wondering what I should expect from it. It is an hour long at my home course. I am pretty good with all of my irons top to bottom it's my driver that i'm looking to get "tuned". To help me fix my slice.....Do you think we will only go through that or do you think he'll try and work on every club in my bag? I know that it's only an hour long I was just wondering what the first lesson should be like.....
  11. Very cool MCC i'll have to look into that one...thanks for the suggestion!
  12. By incorrect I'm assuming you meant correct lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I absolutly hate when that happens! On a few occasions I had caught up with a foursome while playing by myself, and on every occasion they asked me are you SURE you don't want to play thru. I wasn't hitting up on them either, I actually like sometimes just playing by myself and concentrating on every shot.....taking my time.....if i have to play thru them then I do feel rushed and out of sync for the rest of the round....
  14. One thing I forgot to put into my original post is that I currently have "GolfTi" the 40.00 app on my iphone and while I like it I don't want to have to track EVERY shot and what club I used and where it went etc.....I just want to know the yardages to the next hazard or green and that's it....
  15. What are the benefits of using a laser. Like I said in my original post i'm new to this laser/gps technology that's why I ask. Can the laser finder tell me the distance to the nearest hazard etc.....I thought that the laser finder could only give you the distance to the flag am i incorrect?
  16. I get nervous as well! The worst is when I'm playing by myself....I do absolutly horrible! I don't know if it's because I am concentrating too much, or what it is. I feel more relaxed and play better when i'm with buddies, and we're just bs'ing and then I do great!
  17. Thanks for all the help guys! I actually have a good amount of money to spend on one (the wife gave me the ok heehee) and I am seriously leaning towards the upro....I have heard nothing but excellent things about it and I don't play more than 4-5 courses so the huge fees for the "pro" courses doesn't bother me.....anyone else with any input?
  18. Hello everyone, i'm new to golf and golf "technology" and was wondering if you could help me pick out a GPS.....I have been intrigued by the Callaway Upro......and have read nothing but great things about it.....anyone with any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....the primary use of the GPS is will be when I am at an unfamiliar course, or when i'm walking my home course....any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  19. Haven't gotten my first birdie yet either. You'd think it would be so easy on par threes too! Congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Great idea! I'll keep what I have for this season and see hownit works out. I've only been playing six months so maybe I'll get a better feel for them in time. Then I can also add a couple clubs to my christmas list too then :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. No i thought that maybe the 56 and the 58 were too close in degrees.....and that i could use both for basically the same things..
  22. Yep got mine in a 56* that i use from 50 yards
  23. Thanks for the suggestion, after looking at my lofts and what kind of clubs they are for what would YOU yourself think their unique qualities would be?
  24. Hello everyone below in my signature is all of the clubs in my bag. I have a 51*AW 56* Niblick, and a 58* cg15......how do those varrying degrees look.....I hit the 56 and 58* about the same distance, and think I may need to adjust the lofts....what are your thoughts.....
