1. Make sure they are not worn out. 2. Clean them during a round if they get a bit dirty. I would give them a good cleaning after every round. I use dish wash soap, warm water and a nylon brush. I can't help but leave my clubs in my car if I am golfing after work. I always bring my clubs inside when I am at home. There is just less fluctuation in temperature and moisture indoors.
