Bug Update: According to the manual, you can stop an 18 hole round after nine and GolfShot will still calculate your handicap. Unfortunately, a bug gives you a +10 handicap. This screws up subsequent rounds too. They are aware of the problem and expect to patch it in an upcoming release. I'm waiting to hear back from my last email, but think I will have to delete a few rounds back to before the bug happened to have correct handicap tracking.

Yeah tws, it's a pretty shady commercial. The guy on the commercial would have needed TWO 500k+ loans to get that bag of clubs. After reading the details, it's definitely not what they portray in the commercial. It really makes me want to recommend them to handle my friend's loan. NOT!

I have a friend about to sign up with an online investment house. I remember seeing a commercial recently about one of them giving you a free set of clubs to new members. Does anyone know which company it was? I want to check out the specifics of the deal. Thanks.

I would definitely recommend staying away from the OnPar. Spec wise it is fantastic. The execution is severely flawed. My unit locked up constantly and the interface was way too awkward for me. I almost bought a uPro, but decided to hold off for a bit. The SkyCaddy units look nice but I refuse to pay a hefty sum for the overpriced unit and then pay an annual fee. It just doesn't seem like there's a good unit out there that does shot tracking, scorekeeping and hazard distances. I know the uPro is supposed to be adding a scorekeeping function. When the new iPhone comes out, I plan to upgrade and try a couple of the apps to see how they work. I currently use GolfShot for scorekeeping, but I have an original iPhone with no GPS.

As a high handicap, it seems weird replying but that's never stopped me before. :) It seems like you're leaning a good deal toward the ball with the majority of your weight on your toes and the balls of your feet.

Another option is to pick up last year's model of one of the $100+ putters at one of the discounters. I snagged my Odyssey from Rockbottomgolf for $80 about a month ago. The local shops still have it at $160.
