So much for my Paul Casey hunch....+3....subbed him in place of JT on Wednesday.....a 20 point debacle for yesterday.....by bench did great in round 1! The ups and downs of Fantasy Sports.
-
Going to be a good season for sure.
-
Think I am going to stay put for round 3 though I have 2 guys in the top 3 on my bench....wait and see how today plays out.
-
Well, off to a better start this year than last....good to see the guys in it this year seems to have good interest. Good luck in round 2 to all.

You can set it in settings on Yahoo to show the deadlines for changing your roster each round for your local time. Not sure about the tee times themselves.

Gave my roster one last check for WD's and all set...here we go! Still and hour and a bit to go to get in before the season starts. 35 in the group now.

Used to sleep on my stomach, then after back issues, and being told so by my physio, I switched to on my side. It took a bit to train myself, but sure helped my back. The odd time when I am really tired, a flip and sleep on my stomach, and I can tell in the morning just by tightness in my back.

Sorry, in the future I will keep my views to Twitter only.

Players stay in the same category all year, and they are not based on World Ranking. As you go through the 3 groups, you'll see some go to guys in each category. Yahoo has always done their groups this way, and it seems to help with roster management in terms of the maximum starts.

Just a tease @CarlSpackler for all of my secrets, your boys will need to water board, as it is all upstairs. For new guys, there are other things to consider with a tournament like this week where there is no cut. Sometimes I take a chance on a guy because I know they will be there all 4 rounds, in an attempt to manage my 10 starts for a top player. As well, over the first few weeks, see who is ranked in the A, B and C groups, as it will help with strategy around managing starts. Last year, the A group was lite many weeks, and I burned Patrick Read starts quite quickly as he played a lot early, and then I could use other guys whose schedules were heavier through spring and summer. That is one things that going through a season or two help with as you see trends etc with guys and tournaments that help out. I can't seem to remember what I had for dinner yesterday, but for some reason can remember guys who play well at certain events. Quite honestly, I usually set my lineup then have a look at the Expert Picks, which often bites me in the ass as I would usually be better off going with my initial picks.

Looking to do some research, I always have a look at these sites: http://www.pgatour.com/power-rankings/2017/01/02/sbs-tournament-of-champions.html http://www.pgatour.com/fantasy-insider/2017/01/03/sbs-tournament-of-champions.html

Only 100 points if they were low man each round. Points not based on standing for each round, but score for each round. So a guy could go wire to wire, but not be 100 points. For example, if he shot -8 in round one, and was low man, 20 points for the round. Then in round two, shot -4, but someone else shot -6, he would get 16 points, but would likely still be first in the tournament....an so on. That help or confuse things more?
-
If a player is low man for the round, he receives 20 points.....if a guy is a shot back, they would get 2 points less, so 18, 2 shots back, 16 points and so on. That's why if a guy goes super low, some of the points for everyone else are minimal. The tournament winner gets an additional 20 bonus points, 2nd place, 10 points, and 3rd 5 points.
-
@Kalnoky you can sub in from your bench, but if you do, you burn one of your starts for that player. Happens sometime when you might put a guy in just for the last round to try and get some of the bonus points of a Top 3 finish. Once you have had a start for a tournament though, a maximum one start is burned. For example, if you had a player in round one, subbed him out, then put him back in round 4, it would only burn one start for that player.

Good to know @CarlSpackler , we should also see if we can get Putin and Trump to get in on the action perhaps he can make our League great again.
-
We've had 5 more join in the last day, and are up to 32....still room for more. Get in before the season starts, which is on Thursday.
-
@Ernest Jones if you look to the right of the roster, it will give you the deadlines for editing your Roster for each of the 4 rounds. You can set this up specific to your time zone.
-
The A, B, and C players specific to the tournament are now set on Yahoo, so can start to plan your roster out. We are up to 27 in the League.
-
Nice thing about the first tournament, no cut! So won't lose guys for the weekend.
-
23 in the league, still room for more. Good to see a lot of the gang back, and welcome to the new members. Still 6 days to sign up before the first tournament.
-
A week and half to the first tournament...we have 21 in the League so far; lots of room for more if anyone is interested. See post #1 in this thread for instructions on how to sign up and join The Sandtrap League

Just looking at the Groupings this year, and to my point earlier, Groups not based solely on World Rankings. Speith is in the B group along with Matsuyama and Rose, and Sergio and Koepka are in the C group, while Colt Nost is in the A group along with Kyle Riefers and Smylie Kaufman. One of the things that has to be considered with strategy is managing starts with the 10 start limit per player.
