  1. It only takes about 90 seconds to map each green the next time you play a course. Then you have that course on file. It's there whenever you need it. And that doesn't cost anything. You don't need to be a subscriber to map your own courses. Plus, when you map a course you can upload it to the website and then its available to other players in your area. (If you do subscribe to the service)
  2. There is a good thread on Skycaddie. Check it out. http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4452
  3. This is just a neat comparison of some Titleist golf balls. Its interesting to me to see how a $1 ball relates to a $4 ball. Plus I like to compare cover thickness. Now I need a way to compare cover hardness and feel. I know surlyn is like putting a rock.
  4. Thats the plan I got too. I'm in Georgia, but if I want to go to another state, you can add a state to the Birdie Plan for $5.00, so if I want to vacation at Myrtle Beach, SC, $5 and I have access to all those courses also.
  5. I actually went to the store where I got my cell phone and bought a suction device that holds the phone to the windshield of a car. It works great for the SG3 on a golf cart window. And its only about $25.
  6. Here's mine: http://www.dogwoodgolf.org/
  7. Your right , the US Open and THE Open are probably the toughest, but I think the Masters is the best to watch. The course is hard and probably the nicest, most well maintained course anywhere.
  8. Sound like you and I have about the same routine. Its in the bag and if I have my clubs I have the Skycaddy and spare batteries.
  9. Now thats a good read, I like those stats and charts.
  10. You're right, I loved it. Club selection was a no brainer. No looking for markers or sprinkler heads, just drive up , take club, hit. Easily 5-6 stroke improvement, maybe more tomorrow. 1:40 tee time.
  11. I prefer to walk, but on the weekends its hard to do. But I sometimes play a short par 54 course that is walking only.
  12. Being from Georgia, it's gotta be the Masters. And when you visit Atlanta, not too far from Augusta, don't forget to leave a golf ball at the grave of Bobby Jones.
  13. Like you, I went with the SG3 because I can change batteries "on the fly". I'm actually going to give mine a shake down cruise this saturday and sunday. I think it'll lower my and most others scores.
  14. What does being pro have to do with your name on your bag? I like the idea myself. And have seen several amatures with their name on the bag. I even had it at one time. Why does a pro have a name on their bag? The caddy has the name on their back.
