  1. My local club dr. said he won't bend the 54 and 58 i recently purchased ....I am looking for a more upright angle to match my 5 degree upright ping i15s he said the exotic metal in the cg14s is difficult to work with anyone have any knowledge to share?
  2. Tim You are echoing what my pro buddy stated....bend the lie (to make it more upright) on the wedges and extend it....he said to go the full 2" and choke down (like I now do with my Pings) Thanks
  3. I recently got fitted for a set of irons after playing 20 yrs with a standard set. I am 6' 4" with good swing speed. Was outfitted with Ping i15 irons 4 -UW (and I LOVE THEM - they are lasers to the green) The Ping i15 Irons have 2" extensions and X Stiff shafts - and Ping's largest grips.+ My dilemma - bought a couple of Cleveland CG14 wedges (54 and 58) cause I liked them better than the Ping and Vokey wedges - and the price was right ($80 per). They come with "wedge flex" shafts Do I: 1. Just get the 2" extensions + the oversized grips? 2. Replace SHAFT + extensions + grips? I reallly don't/won't swing these wedges with full swing...just not necessary....but I love everything about the Pings...including the X Stiff shafts...am worried that these cg14 wedges will feel like a 1960's Hogan club compared to my Ping Irons Any advice from the forum would be welcome Thanks! Any
  4. I am 6' 4" and after 20 yrs of playing golf with standard length with extension Tommy Armour 845s (still a great set), I went to my local shop and got custom fitted. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE...got set up with Ping i15s with 2" extensions and X Stiff shafts....the irons are like lasers....there is not a shot on the course from 180 yds in that I do not feel comfortable with...shots from 150 in feel automatic 9 times out of 10. If you have reached a stage in life where you can afford it, and are serious about Golf, getting fitted makes a world of difference. Cannot emphasize this enough.
  5. Just don't slow it down for your foursome or the people behind you...5 to 6 seconds is definitely reasonable to set up a shot and go thru your swing intentions
  6. VP of ecommerce - love buying golf stuff online!
  7. I picked up the CG14 in a 54 and a 58 - the 54 is a dream....100 yds and dead stop or back up...still experimenting with the 58
