If you are looking for inexpensive and basic, try the Izzo Swami. No fancy pictures, just the number of yards from where you are standing to the pin with front, center or back of green options. I use it and it works great. Holds ten courses that you can update as needed. $99.95 plus $9.95 annual fee. This was also my first GPS. I didn't want to commit funds to something I may not use or like.

I use to go to a playground after 9;00 P.M. at the local elementary school to practice shooting out of the sandbox/bunker. The night janitor was a good friend of mine and would turn on the lights for me.

I often play alone in the early a.m.. If I am facing a bad round, I will quit and hit the range to correct my issues. Quitting while playing with a group...well that's just rude.
