day 3 - spent just over 2 hours on the range.. started with the toptracer and practiced the small changes I have done to my takeaway.. this went quite well.. after the 55 minutes of the toptracer were up, I called in again at the reception to start it again and I played "closest to the pin" I did manage to break my driver shaft today (for the 3rd time since I started golf)

day 1 (in this list.. I've been practicing or playing 6 times a week for the past months).. We had the last day of our matchplay-ladder-competition today. I was rank 13 and had to defend my place against number 16. Managed to win 2&1.

Elon claimed having to cut jobs as Twitter was losing 4 million a day... What he forgot to mention was that while Twitter hadn't been profitable, and lost about 200m in 2021 (so about half a million per day - in 2020 net loss was still around 1.1b), his purchase was a leveraged buyout. Basically while him and the investors did agree of a price of about 46 billion in total, around 12 to 13 billion of that debt was a loan that was put onto the balance sheet of Twitter, with an interest rate of about 1 billion per year (excluding principal payment from some sources I've heard). It's this loan that Twitter stands collateral to that increases the loss to about 1500 to 2200 million per year, making it between 4 to 6 million per day like he mentioned.. Without that loan, the loss would have been much less and layoffs could possibly have been avoided (at least at such a scale). I have the feeling many users will leave when they have to pay (I have never used it extensively, so I would not be willing to pay), and once Twitter will be facing high fines in many countries as they won't be able to uphold legal requirements to moderate "fake news" away (he fired that whole team according to some articles I have read). With the fact that advertisers are now dropping off, causing a massive drop of revenue, I am afraid he will sink that ship. I hope I am wrong, but time will tell..

I haven't been here for a while, but been playing and practicing regularly. Managed to make my first Eagle on hole 3 (par 5) at Amsteldijk on the 15th of August this year, even playing the white tees (back tees). Driver off the tee ended up in perfect position so I could cut the dogleg between the trees with my 3 wood for the second shot. The ball rolled up onto the green and stopped about 2 meter next to the flag. I've had a few opportunities for Eagle before this year, but this was the first time that the putt went in.

day 95: played 18 holes for our monthly club championship today.. ended up with an 88, but I have played bad first 9 holes (47 strokes).. the second 9 were better scoring a 41 for which i missed 4 birdie puts in a row.. yesterdays preparation (9 holes) were better with 40 strokes, so I am a bit disappointed.. still got closest to the pin on one of the 4 holes that we played.

day 89: played matchplay and won 4 up with 2 to go (on 9 holes).. we did finish playing the rest of the holes (out of competition) and I played well, had 5 pars total.. and that despite coming home past midnight and teeing up at 9:00am after being at a friends birthday party last evening.. I also played 18 holes on a different course yesterday and am looking forward to playing 18 on yet another one tomorrow
