  1. A good handicap is what YOU think is a good handicap. Unless you're a professional you won't be competing seriously with anyone for anything worthwhile. I shoot 80-90's and I consider myself a poor golfer. The reason: I 2-3 putt every hole I'm on and my approaches are always on the green 10-20 feet away at least. I KNOW I can be better. Remember, set your handicap rating beliefs to your own desire. Will I ever be a + golfer? I doubt it. Will I be able to shoot consistent 72-80's? I believe so. So a good handicap for me is 0-10. A good handicap for you might be 20... or who knows maybe it's a +. Be realistic and you'll find your game improve so fast that the unrealistic might just be in sights.
  2. Hey, I just bought new Callaway Clubs.. I paid a decent amount for them (for me considering I'm young). I want to keep the irons free from scratches and since I don't want to look like an idiot with iron covers, who actually uses them?.. how should I protect my irons? Will they get banged around in my carry bag? I have a Callaway Sunday Bag and it's a small lightweight bag where the clubs are close together is this bad? I know this sounds like an obvious question with an obvious answer (don't use your clubs.. use iron covers) but I guess what I'm asking is from your experience.. do your clubs get nicked and scratched a lot when you carry them? Is it significant enough to ruin clubs/how often do you need to replace them? Am I just over worrying myself? I bought Callaway X-20's.
  3. Hey.. I am going to Golftown to buy a new wedge and was gonna replace my old beat up Callaway X-Forged with a Callaway X-Forged (i like it) or a Cleveland CG14.. a) Should I go with the Cleveland or the Cally? b) Should I keep my 60 degrees or opt for a more close range 64 degree wedge? I have never used a 64 degree wedge but am curious in adding it to my collection and keeping my old 60 in my bag. I don't know if it will be a good pick or if it's actually useful though, what's your opinion?
  4. 60 degree Callaway X-Forged... 10-80 yards X-20 PW 80-140 yards..
  5. best shot was a 5 wood off the fairway on a par 5 about 245 yards put it 10 feet from the hole for an eagle chance.. should add my best shot was followed by my worst shot... missing the 10 foot put and settling for birdie
  6. I shot a 90 on a par 72 course today.. beautiful day.. no wind.. pure sun.. just got new Cally Irons and wanted to try them out.. you'd think that was the problem but my putting was horrible.. horrible
  7. All in all I would go with what suits you best.. if you're not going to notice the difference in the X's and X Tour's then don't bother paying the extra cash. I prefer the regulars to be honest
  8. I was faced with the same problem I am looking for my signature edit button but it's not there i'm assumin you have to post a few times first
