I recently started back playing after about a decade and picked up a Nike VR Tour Driver to replace my tiny Big Bertha but I am trying to make use of the adjustment features. I know the club is pretty old, but I really like the way it feels and looks at the tee.
I hope someone doesn't mind answering a question about the adjustments. Sadly, the book itself is very sparse on details and useful info on the internet is very hard to find.
I think I understand the concept and how the adjustments themselves work, including the concept of dynamic loft (although I can't find a wrench where the electronics work and have to rely on the click) but I'm confused about how I actually take advantage of the changes at the tee. I'm trying to take the edge of a bit of a fade, and have set the Driver to -1 Upright as a starting point, but do I then square the club face at address or do I use the red line on the grip? Squaring the face seems sort of counter-intuitive to me as wouldn't that be negating any adjustment I make, unless the key is all in the dynamic loft?
ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated, as I LOVE the VR 3 wood I also picked up.
