  1. Anyone have a PGA Tour Player Contract with the player name blacked out that they would be willing to share. I would like to see what one looks like. I wonder what amount that player should have to come up with from someone or themselves if they don't get enough sponsor money from, say, Callaway, or other equipment maker.
  2. I only asked the original question because as much fun as it is to see who is going to do better next year, it should be a legit question to ask who might head south. Please don't think I'm knocking any of the guys personally. I did like the analysis of VJ. Some very good points made. I thought the same thing about his swing too.
  3. I just got off the phone with him about 20 min ago. He sounds very content with where he's at in this thing thru 3 rounds, but also knows he has 3 more rounds to go. He is very determined to get his tour card. As I told a friend of mine today, he has the names and numbers of everyone that said he couldn't do it. He wants to show them that he can. Regardless of what happens over the last 3 rounds, TTG has shown that he can play at this level. His one PGA Event did not show his ability. The Wachovia was set up very tough. Some very good players did worse than TTG at his first PGA tour event, which some call the 5th major with Dubs Dread (Western Open) off the schedule.
  4. Meaning, what tour player do you think is going to fall the farthest down the money list in 2008 compared to where they finished in 2007. I've thought it might be Paul Goydos (#78 on 2007 money list) but he will be in at least 22 events next year and might not fall as much as some others.
  5. He's playing the Tar Heel Tour this week.
  6. True, but at least he is putting himself in opportunities to play in PGA and Nationwide events. That's more than can be said for many the mini-tour players in the US.
  7. Followed it up with a nice 65 today (Sat., June 9th). 4 stroke lead going into Sunday.
  8. He also has a very fast turn of the shoulders. It's fun to see him hit the ball, but tough to not watch the swing when playing with him. His swing is one-of-a-kind. At least his not still driving the Ford Taurus anymore. I think his dad drives that one now.
  9. I played Twin Creeks that same weekend that I played Bridlewood. Twin Creeks was a nice course, but was rock hard. Maybe all the rain has softened it up, but I wasn't impressed by the fairways and on how hard the greens were. If you have any connections, I highly recommend the TPC - Craigs Ranch. Solid course.
  10. Play Bridlewood if you can. Played it on 5/30 and it was in great shape. www.bridlewoodgolf.com
  11. Tommy qualified for the Wachovia Championship today via the Monday qualifier. He's going to play a practice round with JD and VJ in the morning.
  12. Tommy is going to be playing in the Nationwide Event in Greenville, SC in May. He has a sponsors exemption. This past Monday he did the Monday qualifier for the Nationwide event in Athens, GA. There were 375 players for 14 spots. He was -3 thru 10 and shot 76.
  13. Both Tommy "2 Gloves" Gainey and Don Donatello are playing in this weeks NGA Hooters Tour event in Elgin, SC. Both were E after day 1. www.ngahooterstour.com
  14. Tommy "2 Gloves" is the only one on that show with proven golf ability. He's done very well on the Gateway Tour, Tarheel Tour and US Pro Golf tour. His only real mistake so far has been missing the landing area in the first round of the skills drills last night. 240 off the tee. I've played enough with him to know he could have and should have hit a hybrid instead of driver.
  15. I hacked around a 91 today. The worst score I've had in about a year. I played my new home course - Oak Point (Kiawah). Wind was up a bit, but really never felt comfortable with my irons. I have Callaway X20's and they are about a month old. I think in the next month I should feel more comfortable over the ball with them.
