  1. I run a golf shop and I'm a custom club fitter.
  2. No it wouldnt be possible. Firstly the imix shaft has an adaptor on the end which is just for certain callaway drivers and secondly, the tip has been trimmed to a specific length to take into account the length it gets inserted into the club head. If you were to remove the adaptor and then re-insert into an ordinary club, the shaft would play differently to what is intended as the tip will have been trimmed to a different length.
  3. As already stated, torque is to do with the way the shaft twists (or resists twisting) when you load it - i.e. when you swing. The higher the rating the higher the ball will fly but it may be more difficult to maintain accuracy and the softer it will feel. A shaft with 3 deg of torque will feel much stiffer than a shaft with 5 deg for example. Its not quite true to say that a level of 3 deg is for Pro's. There are many more properties, such as bend profile, kick point, etc etc that need to be taken into account when chosing a shaft. That's where custom clubfitting comes in!!
