Does anyone have advice on where to get a proper fitting in NYC? I've been to golfsmith and tried their launch monitor and so forth but nothing was ever really accomplished besides how I felt about a particular club. I do not mind spending some cash to be "fitted" properly, however if a $100 fitting entailed what Golfsmith does for you then I would be highly disappointed. I know that NY Golf Center provides fittings for $100 but I'm not sure if they "properly" fit you. Any advice from people experienced would be nice. Anyway, thanks in advance. -Dave

I bought a dozen NXT Tours and they are okay. I prefer a softer more spin ball. It still spins well but the greenside feel is not what I would prefer.

When I played in high school this is what I would do to really get the feel of possible real life scenarios. I suggest implementing something of this sort assuming the course allows you to.

Back in 1993 I was 15 playing with a group of friends at Grand Prairie Municipal Golf Course in Texas, I hit a hole in one on a 178 yd par 7 with a 5 iron. It definitely felt good, especially since I had witnesses. =)
