Are you sure that you have the right size? If your hand is wears a xl glove you MAY need a larger grip. If too small it may feel that it is slipping. just a thought.

Just wondered, who got you started, dad, uncle, friend, teacher, .....? Mine was my 7th grade gym teacher who took a few of use guys out on the softball field and let us hit "at" a golf ball. We did not have a golf team in high school ( plus we are a rural school ) but that was 30+ years. ha ha
