On a par 3 once over water during a tournament i hit my ball between 2 rocks that were laying on the ridge of the water. I had to take a drop according to the grounds director. If the piece the ball is next to is not "man-made" apparently you cannot take a club length, you need to drop. So i dropped, shot 3 and wound up with a 5 on a par 3 155. Idk if that helps but that came during actually tournament play.

I noticed you both have top flite gamer v2 balls, i looked into these balls a million times just never had the gusto to buy them. i heard theyre a great cheap 3 piece ball but i hear this years version is a little harder to prevent scuffing. Wat r youre thoughts on these guys? i either use nike juice or titleist NXts

I noticed some people have whats in their bag on the bottom of their post with logos and stuff like "taylormade" "nike" etc...how do i get that on the bottom half of my thread postings??

Less club head speed, the shorter the shaft the more difficult its going to be to whip the club around on your downswing. Also its gonna take time to get used to. I did the same thing with my hybrid and i found myself topping the ball A LOT. If i was you i would just choke up a tad bit. You may still lose some distance/speed, but you can also adjust your grip later instead of completely chopping it down

I think that the pga's have been good, im from bergen county and went on thursday and friday. Its amazing to even watch them at the range. Seeing them really puts your game into perspective lol. Personally i think Jason Day has been playing great but going into today i think MArtin Laird is going to take it. Also, how perfect is Vaughn Taylor's tempo. I always thought ernie had the best but idk VT is just fluid.
