  1. Sorry to hear about the hip. Firstly don't give up on golf. My grandfather is still playing at 90 so if he can you can! There are a couple of things. Firstly you must keep good flexibility in your glute (bum) muscles. Second is that if the worst comes to the worst surgery is pretty straight forward for a bone spur and sucess rates are high. Have you considered this? Good luck and don't throw in the towel yet!
  2. Hi I am not an orthopaedic surgeon but a physio who works with athletes including golfers! The simple answer to you question is yes I think it would be a good idea to get it looked at with a view to a potential X-Ray and MRI scan. Hope that helps and good luck!
  3. I see that you have had loads of great suggestions but if I could add one more! It is a book called "golf is not a game of perfect" by a guy called Dr Bob Rotella. It has really helped me with the mental side of the game. Good luck
  4. Hey, The question is not has anyone had a round like this but more to the point has anyone NOT had a round like this! One of the keys things I noticed from your post is something that I used to do before reading a book called "Golf is not a game of perfect" by Bob Rotella. He teaches mental strength in golf and talks about living in the present and not getting ahead of your self. If I was to be so bold as to say so perhaps part of the problem was thinking too much about the round before it happened. I sure that the next you will be straight as ever!
