  1. You're a 1-Handicapper and you have a problem carrying 250+? 2-Questions: 1)How do you become a 1-handicapper in Maryland? 2)How do you get down to a 1-Handicap with no legnth? Help me help myself.....
  2. Thanks Clay..... I had called a friend of mine, a real rules guru and he reiterated exactly what you said. Cha Ching....... $100.00
  3. "In the real world?" If you read my quote correctly, you'd see that I was merely 10' from the pin, 2' off the green and my playing partner, although on the green, was 40+' away. FAT: "In the real world" furthest out doesn't always mean off the green. Good luck with that handicap.
  4. Are you sure..... How can I easily verify this. I agree with you and I have $100 riding on this.
  5. I think it's Microsoft X-Box yardage......
  6. O.K, I'm 10Ft from the pin, but off the green and my playing partner is 40Ft from the pin, on the green. Who goes 1st; Him because he's further away or me because I'm off the green by 1Ft?
  7. I still have time to change my mind... That's why I asked. Why the 60's? Should I expect them to be harder to hit than the R7 TP's?
  8. It wasn't because it was what was cool.. It's because it's a fine club and club manufaturer, as I'm sure that McGregor is. 50yrds further huh..... I guess we're to believe that because you say so, or because it sounds cool?
  9. I am in the market for a new set of irons and I have looked at the Taylor Made R7 TP's, Mizuno; MP 60's, MP 32's, Callaway; X-forged, X-20 Tour and the Titleist 755's. I'm looking for experienced advise and/or any suggestions?
  10. Could you please elaborate on the benefits of the Pinseeker 1500. I've been considering the same purchase. In My Bag: Driver: T/M r7 Superquad 460, 10.5, Aldila Woods: T/M R7 Steel 13 & 15 Irons: T/M R7 TP's (rifled) Wedge: Cleveland 588 51 & 56 Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Ball: Bridgestone Blue (less spin)
  11. Tennis, ping-pong, shuffleboard.......
  12. The Mizuno MX 23's. The confidence they instill and the forgivness built into the irons have helped me lower my handicap by at least 5-7 strokes.
  13. I like those MX 25's. I played the MX 23's for 2yrs and they're great irons. The 25's I'm told are even more forgiving. You can't go wrong with those, but I'd demo anything you were interested in first. Plus, I'd also give the Callaway X-20's, Taylor Made R7's and the Ping G5's a demo.
  14. Yes, I have the 460 @ 10.5, with the Aldila NV shaft (stiff). It's great. It has to be 10-15yrds longer than my Ping G2, with the same shaft/flex. I haven't moved any of the weights around with my natural right to left ball flight, but I've played 27 holes with it and it's long and very workable. I'm no scratch golfer, but I can hack it around with most. It actually has a very considerable sweet spot and you don't get too penalized for off center strikes. I'd recomend it to anyone with a 5-25 handicap, that's willing to put in the time. If you want a no-brainer straight, high and short driver, by one of the square, box-looking drivers out. Good luck. philfest
  15. You're definately righ about that, that's why they end up with so many Callaway picks. But, in this case I personally demoed each of the irons I listed and these were the best fit for myself. There's no doubting that T/M, as with all the leading manufacturers have great products out, but the new R7 TP irons are worth taking a look at. Philfest In My Bag: Driver: T/M r7 Superquad 460, 10.5, Aldila Woods: T/M R7 Steel 13 & 15 Irons: T/M R7 TP's (rifled) Wedge: Cleveland 588 51 & 56 Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Ball: Bridgestone Blue (less spin)
  16. I hit the Callaway X-forged, Mizuno MP 60's and the T/M R& TP's and the R7 TP's were the most forgiving and most comfortable by far. Question; - What does the "MINI-GOLFER" below te members names mean? Philfest
  17. Is anyone out there using the T/M R7 TP's?
