  1. My current wedges (Cleveland RTX 3) are getting worn, and I am in the market for some new wedges. To help, here is a little bit about me. I Play AP2's and my Pitching wedge is 46 degrees. Currently I have 52,56,60 but want to go to 50,54,58. I'm a 5 handicap, with the strength of my game being 85 YARDS and out. I dont like hitting half shots inside 85 yards. My current lob wedge has 10 degrees of bounce I am a digger I know what lofts I want. I prefer the 50, 54 and 58 set up. I will use my 50 and 54 degree almost exclusively for full shots and the 58 out of bunkers I use my PW around the greens, but will also use my lob wedge depending on the shot loft needed I would like to get SM7's Should I get fit or does the setup below work for me?50- F54 - F58 - D
  2. I'm in town for a few days and was wondering what I should play in either Austin or San Antonio? Looking for a really good track! :-)
  3. Thanks guys! Ive played Miami Springs and ti be honest, its not very good. A Muni at best. Greens were horrible. It was a dump... For an extra $20, I ended up playing the Club at Emerald Hills and that place is amazing! And tough!
  4. So im down in Miami and was thinking of trying Miami beach golf club. The rate this time of year is $100. I have played Biltmore and Crandon. Crandon is tough and great layout but this time of year greens were pretty beat up. Biltmore is okay. Has anyone played Miami Beach Golf Club, is worth the $100 or should I look elswhere? Ive heard so many negative reviews of the Blue Monster, so not really interested in dropping $$ to play there.
  5. I'm sorry, wasn't trying to be a jerk, but my post came out that way. I understand where the video is coming from but IMO if I was a high handicapper and If I could make the game more enjoyable with a couple clicks, I would.
  6. There is nothing wrong with adjusting the face angle to get the desired ball flight. Im a 4 and having it set to 11.25 degrees. If I was a 27 handicap I would adjust the hell out of it!
  7. Thanks guys! I'm heading to the PGA Championship and then will play next week!
  8. Heading down and looking to play a couple courses. Any suggestions on where to play? Private included.
  9. Ridiculous is based on each individuals interpretation... To say it's "ridiculous" shows how self centered your comments are. I mean one can say it's ridiculous to pay $1,000 for a cross bow, but if he or she is into archery and can afford it, it's not ridiculous to them. And your other comment cracks me up to, that there is nothing about playing golf at Pebble that you can't get at dozens of other courses...again the other courses don't have the history, multiple US opens and lay out that Pebble has.
  10. Good point! I wonder why that person hasn't posted?
  11. I've played Pebble and Spyglass once and Spanish Bay three times, and If\when I'm in the area again I would play and PAY again. Bigger "fish" makes no sense? My $495 was just as green as the bigger fish's. I wasn't trying to accomplish anything other than, let me think...PLAY the #1 or #2 ranked public course in the country... Of the handful of people I know who have played Pebble all say the same thing, it was worth it! Of the people who need to make themselves feel better by saying, "I would never pay that much money to play, and there are just as good of courses out there." that's fine too, BUT until you've played it you're talking out of your ass as far as saying there are just as good of courses out there. IMO, it was worth every penny and I will never forget that round. Finally for me, remember what Jack said, if he only had one more round of golf to play, he would "play it at Pebble Beach..."
  12. To each his own, but until you've played Pebble you just don't know what you're missing. St Andrews was amazing, but so was Pebble.
  13. I was part of that "customer" base and I'm still playing Callaway X20 Tour iron that probably go for about $5.00 for a set on ebay right now...try again.
