  1. Golf is a sport I'm so thankful I was taught back in the mid 70's. It's been with me all these years, and it never fails to beckon me back for more. Here are some ways it helps my life: It's always a challenge, no matter how good or bad I play It makes me want to stay in shape (run, walk, weight-train, etc) It gives me beauty - I love any golf course I'm standing on It sharpens my mind and my senses It teaches me patience (oh how I need it) It shows me how to respond to troubles and setbacks It tempts my anger after bad shots It thrills my emotions after good shots It puts a smile on my face just driving into the course It is sweet medicine during hard times. and finally - it's a sanctuary for healing during the ups and downs of life. I really love this game...
  2. I workout with weights 5-6x per week and love it. I don't do it specifically for golf but for general health and appearance, but the benefits definitely extend to golf and all my activities. I feel much stronger on the course, especially on the back nine when I need it. In all the years of working out and playing golf, I've come to one astounding conclusion - weight lifting is way easier than golf! /Dan
  3. I've never looked into golf fitness programs, but just working out in the gym has really helped my game. I feel stronger all around and have more stamina, especially on the back-9. I think just following a well-rounded weight-training routine, working out all the major muscle groups plus Abs (yes, I said ABS!) and doing it 3-4x per week can really boost your game. Of course, one caution - if you do a strong work-out a day or two before you hit the links, you may be sore. Just keep at it though, and you'll figure out the balance that works for you. Enjoy! /Dan
  4. I think Tiger is the better golfer. But I think Jack is the better person.
  5. I run my own online marketing business. Couldn't stand working in the corporate world a day longer.
  6. I look at one point on the back of the ball for all shots. For me golf is hard enough, so I try to keep it simple by standardizing as much as I can.
