  1. Cool, thanks. Seemed to make sense. If it works out close, I doubt I'll notice it too.
  2. I have a Ping G15 with the Aldila Serrano shaft in X Flex. I'd like to cut an inch off the butt of the shaft as it is too long at 45.75". I have been just choking down on the grip, but I'd like to not have to do that. Through the search function here and using google I found that general rule of thumb for cutting the shaft one inch is that it will reduce SW by 6 points. In my case that means D3 down to C7. First: Is the change in SW dependent on the weight of the shaft? (i.e. will a shortening a lighter shaft result in less of a SW reduction than a heavier shaft?) The seranno is fairly light overall. Second: I have also read that a changing to a lighter grip will cheat the SW back up. I have read that that -4g in grip weight is +1 SW. Is this correct? The stock Ping Grip is 51g. If I replace it with a WinnLite, which is only 25g, will the -26g difference cheat the SW back almost equal to what it is now? -6 SW for cutting an inch from the shaft +6ish SW for reducing grip weight by 26g Would that take care of it, is it that simple? Thanks in advance!
