  1. Flipping will also cause this... trust me I know at too well I do it all the time...
  2. 91 yesterday... 4 doubles but did have 1 birdie... 3 holes I 3 putted... and hit 3 balls ob off tee and 1 second shot in water... easily could have been mid 80s... but I wouldn't have a 19 handicap if I didn't blow up some holes! One day I will get consistent off the tee... when I do my handicap will certainly improve greatly.
  3. Thanks for the heads up... I owe you a beer for saving me $40! How do I find the info for video analysis here... I am new so sorry if it is a dumb question.
  4. I like Jeff Ritters teaching videos, and was playing around on his site. I saw that he has an online swing analysis for $50, of course you video your swing and send it to him, and then received feedback and instruction. Has anyone done this? What were your thoughts? Helpful? Was it a detailed analysis? Was it indepth enough or just a simple analysis... meaning I know some of the issues I have, but am having a hard time correcting... so my thoughts are does his analysis provide solutions or just a diagnosis? Thanks in advance. btw: I am not asking to rate his teaching or methods just simply whether you have any experience with his online swing analysis and the feedback you got from it.
  5. Nice thread... I too am trying to get back into shape.. I have recently had to give up Triathlon training due to knee surgeries, and at 37 my time to enjoy a lifetime game is finally here (so I am fully dedicated to learning Golf)... but I am trying to get back in shape since I fell so out of shape due to the knee limitations.. Age 37 Height: 5'11 Weight: 200 (5/17/11) Weight Goal: 175
  6. I am an Orthopedic Sales rep. I work with Surgeons in the operating who use our implants for total joint (knee, hip, should, elbow) replacement as well as plates, screws, nails, etc for fractures. I am on call nearly "all" the time, but still enough gaps to get in some golf/range time when the wifey and kids allow me too.
  7. Name is Britt. Played golf a couple times a year for the past 10-12 years, never had a lesson, never learned the game, other sports always dominated my life... then marriage and kids happened as well as the body breaking down due to injuries from years of sports... so after not even swinging a golf club for the past 4 years, I took the game up "seriously" this time last fall... Trying to learn it and dedicated to becoming a "good" golfer.. to mean at least getting to single digit handicap and being able to break 80 is my goal. I have an athletic swing but very inconsistent especially off the tee. I have a bit of the "hooksy" and am currently stuggling with that quite a bit.. There is a plethora of info on the web and this site that I hope will help find those little tweaks that I need to improve. Look forward to talking with you on topics as time goes.
