  2. So I'm curious besides the 910d3 head which heads are smaller and have a lower launch?
  3. As a 9 hcp or so i don't expect to double bogey a single hole, but if it happens i focus even harder for the next 3 or 4 holes and ensure i par them.
  4. http://www.titleist.com/images/products/pdfs/2011_Titleist_Custom_Options.pdf I was just going off of this chart on page two. I dont want it super low to where i cant get it up i just want it so its lower than the stock whippy 'stiff' shaft in my stock R9.
  5. Well i need it to be low, my ball ballons really badly so thats my reaasoning switching to a new shaft/head combo.
  6. Really?! no one has an opinion on driver head?
  7. I was playing with a few classmates for the first time. I had talked up how good i was in a joking manner( i really am pretty good). On number one i went and hit it about 10 yards, major topper. Went on to shoot an 84, but it got off to a rough start.
  8. Overstock.com tends to have some pretty good deals on both apparel and shoes. not the best selection of clubs, but its what you would expect.
  9. Or would I just be best suited to keep my R9 head and just replace the shaft?
  10. If you are riding in a cart most courses will charge her the cart fee. If you are walking then most courses wont care.
  11. So i have decided to customize my own head/shaft/ grip combo for my new driver. I need a low launching shaft so i think im going with an aldila RIP Alpha 70. I stay loyal to golf pride new decade multicompound grips so thats locked in as well. My questions is about the head. I dont know what to go with, i was leaning towards the 910 D3 head but im not so sure now. If you had to go with something what head would you guys go for. What has the most pop?!
  12. So i have been looking and i might buy a used 910D3 8.5 or 9.5 head and a new aldila RIP alpha 70. Would this combo give me the low launch and low spin im looking for? another question is if i do this combo i need to make sure the head has the shaft sleeve correct?
  13. So I have had my Taylormade wedge for about 2.5 years now and it probably has 120 rounds of use. I'm curious when grooves usually wear down and if i do need to replace it give wedge recommendations that may not be the full 120+ price. Im a broke college student.
  14. Yes, any of today's game improvement irons are going to help, but i would suggest going to get fitted or go to one of the larger retailers (Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy) and use their simulators and see what you like. take one of your old mid irons and compare what you hit to that. you will find you like some and don't like others, but try and go in with out a brand or particular set in mind and you will come out with the best set for your game.
  15. At school its the pretty new Pete Dye River Course. Its strategically placed within a penninsula of the New River. Its the Home course of the Virginia Tech Hokies and at times can be very difficult. I don't know how i would categorize the course in terms of style, but its beautiful and well manicured. At home its the Crossings Golf Club. This may be the most played course in the Metro Richmond area and it shows. They struggle to maintain the greens and tee boxes. Though it has issues its home and where i learned to play so you gotta take its issues with a grain of salt and go out and torch the course.
