  1. Yeah, it feels like a normal swing, so I am thinking that the speeds are a little after the radar as you mentioned. And yeah the swing speed with my driver and the SSR are actually pretty spot compared to the MEVO+ (and GC2 at local sim). Mevo+ can have me anywhere from like 110-115 depending on the day, with the average usually around 112.
  2. VERY true, and i honestly had the same dang thoughts on it. Reason for the setup i explained was, between sets, i quickly read that manual and saw that it stated that. So tomorrow during my next training, i will move the unit 8-10 inches forward, and face the radar towards where the ball position would be. Fingers crossed. If it doesnt work, i will end up buying the PRGR to get me through until the Mevo+ update comes.
  3. So what you are saying is that the radar should be slightly ahead of the imaginary ball position, with the face of the unit (the numbers) looking directly at the imaginary ball position? I had it directly in line between me, ball, and radar, with the radar facing 45-degrees toward he swing path (away from target), as that is what the owners manual states; "Place the Swing Speed Radar® about 8-10 inches (20–25 cm) away from the ball, directly in line with the golfer and the ball, as shown below. Orient the SSR so that it is facing toward the direction from which the clubhead is coming, at about a 45 degree angle relative to the clubhead swing path"
  4. Yeah, i position the radar where the ball would be, and at a 45-degree angle facing away from the target. I feel like i am swinging the stack faster than my driver to be honest, so it has me so confused. I used my driver first to make sure it was positioned correctly and then used the stack in the same location. I am wondering if its the level at which i am swinging the stack vs the driver. The driver is much closer to the ground when swung vs the shorter stack stick. I wonder if i will need to actually place the radar in the location where I would place the ball for hitting a hybrid. does that make any sense LOL
  5. So question for anyone that has used the Stack. I just started last week, and just completed my first workout following the baseline testing. For reference, i am using a swing speed radar (until the new mevo+ update comes out). My driver speed using the swing speed radar is average 112 on the app (Mevo+ has me at 113-114), but the espeed calculation on the app is saying 102, with a distance potential of 281 (I can already push the ball out there that far with a decent strike). I emailed Sasho about it, and he said it is likely that the radar is picking up driver speed better than the speed of the Stack. Anyone else have this issue? I will continue the Foundation training and then measure driver speed at the end, as that is all that matters, but what I am afraid of is if the A.I of the app is going to change my workout or something due to the lower speeds it is reading. The numbers below from the screenshots are from the baseline testing to show the speed variations between driver and the stick.
  6. Perfect, Thank you. I had my first lesson last week, and the first thing the coach noticed was that i was flipping. After looking at my launch angles from my MEVO, my PW was launching at 30+ degrees... Makes sense that balls were launching over the net on occasion.
  7. Yeah, just took a quick video tonight after sending another over the net, and it was very flippy. Went back into your COVID videos, and fixed it (hopefully not temporarily). It also increased my distances on other clubs, which was a pleasant surprise. One question, can anyone post a link for ideal numbers for each club? That way I can compare. I understand that everyone is going to be different, but not sure what ballpark to be in. Especially for launch angle, spin, smash, and acceptable height for each club.
  8. Very possible. I will move the net a bit closer and try to find the spot where the mevo will still read. It is one of the main reasons i bought the Mevo, as the distance my wedges travel on course seem very low compared to what the gapping should be with the loft of the clubs.
  9. Alright, question for other Mevo Users. How do you prefer to dial in your wedges with the Mevo? The issue i am having is that i am hitting balls over my net with my 56 and 60 degree wedge due to the net having to be 8' from the ball. Are you all just saving that for the range, or have you found that you can move the net closer to the ball? I tried moving the net closer, but the mevo would not read (i had it about 4-5' from the ball). I am considering building a small stand for the net to elevate it a few more feet, but before i do that, i wanted to see if you all had any luck moving the net closer, or would have any other suggestions. Thanks
  10. I received my MEVO in the mail Friday. Only delayed a week or so. I have only have had a chance to use it one time so far, and it is fantastic. With about 50 shots taken, it only resulted in 1 missed shot (VERY THIN shot that did not get airborne). As soon as I get some more testing with it, i will try to get an update, but first impressions are nothing but positive.
  11. That is really cool. One of the instructors I am looking at is located at an indoor facility. He is a bit more pricey than the golf clubs near me, but a conversation with them should lead me in the right direction. Thanks
  12. I just got back to the range and worked on some things, and you hit the nail on the head with "Bad shot, hit another ball, that one was good, okay swing is working". Hoping that I can find a good instructor soon. Will be making calls this week at some point. I am a note taker by nature (i have a terrible memory, and forget things pretty easily), but i am intrigued by the video comment you made. Do they film you? or do they tend to send you a self video of things to work on?
  13. Thank you (and Patch). This was super helpful. Absolutely want to go over all the stuff you mention, and was hoping to get drills from the lesson to practice at home. I can usually spare 30-60 minutes a day at home chipping, putting, hitting some practice balls after the kids get put down for the night.
  14. Thank you both. I have found 2 or 3 local to me that seem to be highly thought of. Thanks for the help, made me ease up a bit and give it a shot
