  1. Oh trust me I am with you, but I figure thats the closest I can get to coming up with a system to keep him at least somewhat honest. I mean you can put a drive OB and still have a decent score especially since him and I both hit the crap out of our shots. I guess I am overestimating his skill (and I am... by a lot) but I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, I should stop being nice about it and write down the real score. Earlier this year I counted a 14 (yes a 14) on a hole... he took a 6 on the hole because I shot a 5. I guess I don't get it, I don't see how anyone can become better when you cheat, and what do you really get out of recording a score 2 or 3 (or in his case) 10 or so strokes less? I must feel to guilty to do it.
  2. hahaha that would suck, but at the same time this is one of the risks of living on a course!
  3. I've hit this drive twice, 2 years ago and about a month ago, 2 years ago I was on a dogleg left and crushed a ball starting dead straight and even turned left for me. 480 yard par 5 I was inside 150 and right about 350 out. This year I was on a different course 505 yard par 5, and I hit the ball on the screws dead straight and left me with a PW from 150 out, 355 yard drive. Bad part of this, I duffed the next 3 shots and 3 putt for a double, got too excited over the drive I think.
  4. I have played 1 course lined with houses, and I will never do it again! I was so nervous about hitting a house I probably topped about 25% of my shots. I did put one in someones front yard.... and yes I did play it out of their yard I even got a crowd looking out the windows and laughing.
  5. #9 of the course I used to be a member at has a highway running down the right side. I didn't have a driver because my knockoffs couldn't handle my swing speed (couple flying drive heads in the past few years) so I took my old driver with a regular flex shaft and threw it in my bag just to have another club in there. So #9 I decide to hit my regular flex shaft driver (all my clubs are stiff shaft I am a big guy with a powerful swing). I hit my usual high trajectory shot and I figured the shot would slice because of the shaft but I didn't expect it to slice THAT much. I hear a car coming in the distance and of course I smoke the cap of a truck. Luckily he didn't even notice drove up to the light (longest light of my life) and took off... I felt like a jackass.
  6. Sounds like one of my regular partners, best one is we finish the hole and I know he shot a least a double or triple bogey if not worse and his score always seems to be 1 worse than mine Not to mention the 10 or so mulligans, the score he "deserves" aka well I shot a 6 but I played well enough to shoot a 5 so I am taking a 5 (not joking this happens every round!). I stopped caring but what I did do what start to mark mulligans then when I add the score in the end I add in the mulligans and give him his "score" and his real score to lay in the guilt.
  7. I am teaching a friend of mine to golf, he has never swung a club till this year, after 2 months he broke 50, twice for 9 holes. I am impressed he dropped his score so quickly from around a 75 for his first 9 to a 49.
  8. Consistently break 90 - I can do the break 90 part I am just not consistent.
  9. Hello everyone, I am a business student and a part time cook!!
