British Open Weather?!?!

So...not to take anything away from Oosthuizen (LO from now on), but imagine what Rory might have done with some different tee times. It seemed to me (correct me please if I'm wrong), but LO got a pretty good break on the tee times. He teed off at 11:52a on Thursday, so while he didn't get the 'best' weather he also didn't get the worst on Thursday. He was on his back nine already when the weather started getting a bit worse on Thursday. Friday, he teed off in the second group and got good (good Open weather) weather again. Whereas, Rory got probably some of the worst Friday weather as he didn't tee off until 1:31p.

Sat and Sun the weather seemed fairly consistent and Rory actually outplayed LO on the weekend. The other person that seemed to get a bad break in weather was Robert Rock, his tee time draw was a little earlier than Rory on Thurs and 12:03p on Fri (shot a 78 on Friday). He was an hour earlier than Rory on Fri and shot 5 over for holes 7-13 while Rory shot 6 over for holes 4-11, which would have been about the same time on the golf course. Robert Rock actually outplayed both Rory and LO on the weekend.

Yes...I know...that's golf, that's the breaks. There's really no other way to do it with all those players and a finite amount of golf course to play on. You have to play through the weather, tough / good breaks, etc. I just think it's an interesting thing to notice.

Congrats to LO...hope to see him play more in the US and win more, looked very solid in all areas of his game!

Dont worry rory will have his day(....alot of them....)

After nearly every tournament the winner usually says "everything went my way" or "lucky was on my side"
Nearly all these guys have got the game to win, but those who have the head and the luck usual win, on that topic how many times does tiger get a lucky break, he always gets the lies too, Im not sure Ive ever seen him get a really bad break apart from time scheduling and weather
