I know that's not going to happen so forgiveness is always welcome.

I guess we've had opposite results. The Razr x tours I had came with TT s300;s and felt like hitting a brick. Upgraded to KBS to give them a try and they were better, but in my opinion

Project X are the best. They are an upgrade to clubs purchased directly from Callaway over the stock TTs300's You can get TT300's on any set at Dicks and any sporting goods store if that's your preference. If they're good enough for Phil they'll do , IMO.

The best thing to do is go to a GOLF shop that has a fitting cart and simulator and hit the clubs with all the different shafts, in other words, get fitted, Not doing it that was is costly, take my word for it. Playing a whole year with shafts your not confident in stinks.

No help from me, I'm afraid.  I haven't had a steel shaft on anything but a putter for over a decade, and one of my favorite putters has a hickory shaft.

Nothing against them, but graphite is so much easier on old hands!

Taylormade RocketBallz.....13° tour spoon;  Ping G15.....17° fairway wood;  Callaway RAZR X Blk.....24° fairway wood;

Epon AF-901....19° driving iron;  Wishon 870Ti....5-8 irons (1° weak), 9-iron (2° weak); Nakashima SuperSpin.....52, 58, 64° wedges;

Lovett Tour Standard.....sand iron; Louisville HB.....putter.

    • Day 72 - 2024-12-11 /sees a picture of Chet after shaving with a saw, goes back to doing a little mirror work at AMG.
    • Day 147: more mirror work. Trying to hone in the backswing stuff real nice.
    • If I was going to try to help someone fix a low snap hook without actually seeing their swing I would have to tell them to break down the problem into pieces. See if you can fix the "low" part of the problem first. A low ball flight tells me you are probably swinging level or hitting down on the ball instead of hitting up on it. Try teeing the ball higher than you are comfortable and put the ball up in your stance a little further up than comfortable...try putting it off your left heal or even the left toe. Try to feel like your club head is swinging up through impact. Try that first and see if it gets you to a high snap hook or a high pull hook.    If you want to address the hook part of the swing you are going to have to look at two areas of the swing as well as your concept of what the arms and hands do through impact. I love talking through this stuff with people but I'll only go into it further if you really want to go down that rabbit hole...you would have to say so. Swing well my friend!
    • Hello everyone! I haven't been on a golf forum in many years...since the old 4gea days if I remember right. Love to talk swing mechanics and hope to meet up for some range time and golf with others if possible. Been in Houston for a year now but haven't managed my way out on the course anywhere. I hope to change that in 2025. Hit 'em hard everybody!
    • Day 6: Worked with 6-iron, same stuff; neutral grip, centered turn. Feeling a bit lost right now, but have a lesson booked in about 10 days.
