Hi, I have been playing golf for a few years now with a cheap set of starter clubs. I have recently bought a new Nike Driver and a Nike Method putter but I think it's about time I changed my irons. I've found a set of Mizuno MX19 Graphite Shafts Iron Set 5-PW for £150 which would be ideal for my budget. My only concern is that they are Stiff flex shafts. I've read that the clubs are very forgiving but I'm worried that I'll lose some of the forgiveness with the stiff flex. I currently play off 18 and hit my 7 iron around 150-155 yards. I tend to pull my iron shots slightly left. Not sure if this will help but thought I'd ask. I know I should ideally try a load of different clubs and get some advice from a professional but unfortunately I can't afford a new set. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy

If you pull your shots, stiff shafts might actually help you because the shaft will unload earlier.  I actually find stiff shafts to be more forigiving because I dont need to focus as much as being smooth in my transition to maintain control of the club through the swing.

As the old saying goes, "you should play the most flexible shaft that you can control".

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?
