What is the story behind these bags?

I see them on ebay advertised as only available in Japan. Is it true? If so, why doesn't Titleist sell them in the U.S.?

I don't have an answer for your questions but I know that the white and lime green one is sick. If they weren't so damn expensive I would buy one of those.

Yeah, I saw that one on ebay. I think you can get it for about 300 bucks (after shipping).

Shipping on those bags is like 65 bucks.

I also like the Japan bags. I am looking at walking bags, I would like to start walking more, but my usual foursome won't go for it, but it would be nice to save some money on the cooler days. Anyway, I like the white and black and black and white stand bags, but they are pricey. I keep meaning to contact titleist, maybe I will now. I know a few members of the board have bought the Japan style bags, Eric (Iacas) had one, I don't know if he still uses it though. If you see this Eric, enlighten us on the quality of the bag and where you got it. Thanks.

tourspecgolf.com may be one of the coolest sites I've seen in a long time, high end japanese imports.

one nice feature on the titleist japan stand bags is near the stand they have a zippered section that allows you to fold the stand in and make the bag appear to be a cart bag, its pretty nice.

265 on their site... 107 extra to ship! unreal... just not worth it, I don't care how nice the bag is

I have been to that site before and I think I have even bookmarked the site, but I agree the shipping cost is way too much. They have them for cheaper shipping on e-bay, but you are also risking it on e-bay to a certain extent.

I wonder if there are any members in Japan who would be willing to purchase and ship bags to members in the US. Would it be any cheaper. I do not really know what shipping costs oversees for something the size and weight of a golf bag would be and whether or not there would be any additional charges. Anybody have any thoughts.

I sent the following e-mail to Titleist:

"Is there any way to purchase the Titleist Stand Bag, model number CBS721" in the United States? Will this model be made available in the US at a later time?

I recieved this response almost immediately:

"Thank you for your question regarding the golf bags offered in our Japanese product line. Unfortunately our product lines are specific to particular regions and/or countries. As a result the authorized dealers in the United States are only able to order from the U.S. product line. The only way to obtain one of these bags will be via eBay or an online
Japanese retailer. Please keep in mind that should there be a warranty issues with the bag, you will need to return it to the overseas authorized dealer from which you purchased it from, as we are unable to warranty it through the U.S.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of Titleist...Golf's Symbol of Excellence."

Guess the only way to get a Japanese Bag, which I have read through different reviews are better quality is by paying out significant $$$$.
