Just came back from the event. The last hole was very exciting. Will never forget that putt by GMac.

Nasri really shines this season. Back to the top spot after Fulham game. Nicely done!

Are there any courses and ranges near Manhattan? (accessible by public transportation) I am moving to NYC next year. I want to continue golfing but I don't think I will have a car. I found some in NJ on Google, but not sure if PATH will take me there. thanks!

I gave up after one week. The first few days my whole body was so sore that I couldn't even move. Plus once I get busy I just won't bother to spend an hour to torture myself... But I am going to start again soon. Because I often blame myself for not being fit / flexible and thus affects my golf swing.

However all my clubs are only about a month old. I started about 4 months ago with a set of cheap clubs bought on amazon for $150. Pretty broke right now after building my bag, but it's worth it. It think it was a mis-hit. The ball flight was low, so I believe it has less spin and rolled at least 30 yards on the fairway. My good driver shot is usually 240 yards, max 260 yards. So I am surprised that my hybrid went that far.

Today I finally got my first birdie! I am so happy! (6th round ever in my life) It was a 376 yards par 4. Shot 1 - Longer than usual (250yrd) #3 Hybrid shot from tee box, landed on fairway with 3 monster bunker in front of me. Shot 2 - Perfect Pw lay up shot, flew over 3 monster bunkers and landed 1 ft away from the hole. Shot 3 - Birdie putt!! Best week of my life in golf: broke 100 three days ago, and first birdie today! Actually this week I'm experiencing some difficulties in life, but I am glad that my performance on course did not get affected.

Golf is the epitome of life. It teaches me many things about life. - Golf calms me down, made me realized that temper won't solve problems. - Golf is an escape. I feel like I am in a different world when playing golf. I forget about all the things I worry about. - Golf teaches me not to lose faith. One bad shot doesn't mean the next will be the same. - Golf shows that life might go against you sometimes. A good swing doesn't mean a good shot. And sometimes a bad shot will surprise you. - Golf is my friend and makes me forget that I am alone. I am experiencing a tough period of my life. Most of the time only golf can put a smile on my face. Sad but true.

I am more than happy to give a new home to your poor abandoned son.. haha Go gunners!

Getting a Carling Cup looks very tempting in this kind of situation. But we have been a top flight club for decades and I ink fans want more than a Carling Cup. I just dun understand why Arsene would let go FA cups and Carling cups so easily in previous consecutive seasons... Well getting FA Cups or Carling Cups are honors too!

Happy Birthday in advance and smart move! I always wanna wear Arsenal jerseys to play golf, but I couldn't. Now you reminded me of my Highbury shirt that is buried in my closet for a while. I bought this year's away shirt + c29

Thanks Uncle Lau. I am going back to HK for Chinese New Year and I plan to fly with my clubs, so for sure I will let you know if I go to Singapore. I love the chicken rice there! And I miss shopping along Orchard rd. -
I think about golf almost 24/7 since I started in August. It's like a drug. During my free time I - Go to the driving range - Putt at home - Broke a several items at home by accident after making some full swings - Read golf magazines - Go to golf shop In a boring class I - play PGA Tiger Woods on my iPhone - Look at golf equipment on my iPhone - Recall the last great shots I hit - Day dream about my next round - Hop class will finish earlier so I can hit the range I am hoping this is just temporary, because I am (1) a newbie (2) all my friends are gone because I'm doing an extra semester in college. Without friends and family in LA, golf is my friend.

I'm now a couch potato drinking a Blue Moon after a long day. I love... London Pride, Arrogant Bastard, Newcastle, Carlsberg... Anyone noticed that Guinness tastes different in Ireland than in the US? I like Guinness in Ireland better.

I'm 5'7", which is pretty short compared to my friends. But I was surprised that when I went to custom club fitting, the guy told me that I am a "regular" ( =black dots on my Ping irons) .

Thanks for the replies! Let me try tomorrow and see how it goes.

High five! I stopped watching Arsenal for a while after the Tottenham game, it was an embarrassment. Hope we can beat Fulham this weekend.

I hate putting on a downhill slope, i really do. It really frustrates me. I spent extra time reading the green and try putting under power. There many times that I was putting on a downhill slope, once the ball missed the hole and rolled downhill off the green. Any tips?

I love the Gunners as much as I love golf. Have been following them for more than 10 years now. Gooner anyone?

I am going on Sunday. Pretty excited about it, never been to a pro event. Do you think I can shoot pics with my DSLR + long lens (70-200mm f/2.8) ? Will the click of my camera shutter disturb the players? Thanks!

Hi there, I am a freelance photographer, but I shoot Nikon. From my experience, I think it's better for you to shoot infant photos without flash. Why? Because external flash will destroy the ambient "warm" feeling, plus you have a f/1.8 and you are good to go within ISO 800 - 1600. Try using natural lighting, you will surprise how awesome your 50mm f/1.8 is. And I am not sure if the flash light is good for your baby's eyes. Of course you won't point the flash right at your baby; always point it at the ceiling when you're indoor and use a bounce card. Regarding the flash, it is always good to purchase the same brand. You won't get wrong with Canon flash. I am not sure about Sigma, but it's always safer to get Canon flash if you have a Canon DSLR, because soon you will realize there's so much more to do other than TTL mode. Try getting older models, not sure about Canon, but an older Nikon flash (SB-600) is about $200 brand new. Strobe lights are like golf clubs... you can never get enough. I have 3 flash lights and they are still not enough for my shoots sometimes. Let me know if you any questions.

I'm 22 now and I have no income. But during my freetime I freelance my work (web design, graphic design, and photo). The money is not very much but good enough to cover my spending on equipment, range & green fees. I go to the driving range almost every other day and play on course twice a month. I tried saving money by bringing my own balls to practice pitching and putting at the range, it's free! Buying used clubs or demo clubs also helped saved a lot for me. When I was your age I bought and resold stuff on eBay to male extra bucks. Good luck! When I was at your age

I'm sorry to hear that. I heard stories about A instructor will teach you something that B instructor would tell you not to do. I am okay with just practicing by myself and watching videos of my own swing. But recently I practiced so much to some point that I no longer know why I hit a bad swing. I really need someone who can stand right next to me and tell me what has gone wrong.
