This is the time that it helps to have in-laws in warmer climates. New England winters can be brutal but when you spend Thanksgiving, New Years and usually a trip in March to a warm, golf filled area it really breaks up the winter nicely. Overall 4/10

Not a 3wood, but I have a Cobra Baffler hybrid in 16 degree that is my safety club. Off the tee it's about 200-225 so nothing huge, but when placement is key it is "always" straight.

New guy from CT here too. Carefull with this sport as it is full on addictive. My grandparents got me hooked when I was younger some of my fondest memories. The wife's grandfathers clubs probably contain a life time of karma. Good luck with the game.

Just played Shell Point Golf Club over the Thanksgiving holiday, nothing great but thought for the price it was a pretty good deal.
