  1. Yeh, I've hit all of them. I'd say to go with any of the first 3. The only thing that matters is...which one did YOU hit the farthest, most accurate, and most consistent? If you say they were all about the same, then go... eenie meenie miney moe catch a rabbit by the toe....
  2. Dude, you're still too young. (lucky YOU)
  3. I think there may be more fingers located elsewhere other than the pulse.
  4. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/...o.x=11&Go.y;=11 I don't see the Little Green Book sold there. Maybe it's out of print and a collectible.
  5. What a moronic comparison...laying on the horn. LMFAO. Hey, that happens EVERYWHERE. There's always somebody that lays on the horn to screw a golfers swing up if it's near a golf course. Color and diversity is a fact of life and it WAS germaine to this thread of what was the worst course you ever played. This is NOT a world of monochromatic peoples. Here's another story for you Miss Priss...a few years ago on a course in the city I now live, players were out in the middle of the fairway of a course in the inner city (I wasn't there) where there was also a high chain link fence set up around the whole perimeter of the course to keep out trouble. Unfortunately, it didn't keep out the trouble. BLACK TEENAGERS, yep that's right Ms. Sharpton they were BLACK, jumped the fence and attempted to ROB a foursome on one of the holes at knifepoint. They encircled them and threatened to KILL anybody in the group if they didn't give up all of their jewelery and money. One of the guys stated for them to hold on because he had all of his money in his golf bag. He pulled out a pistol and shot one of the kids dead right on the spot. END OF ROBBERY! The others fled and eventually got caught. Do you know what happened to him?? NOTHING! It was justifiably self-defense. Tell me yakkity-mouth bitch...have you ever seen a report in the newspaper where a bunch of BLACK golfers were accosted or had their lives threatened by a group of WHITES that were trying to rob them. If so, then I think it would be justifiable to state that. Wrong is wrong. How about if the WHITES had pillow cases on their heads?? What if they were WHITE SUPREMICISTS? If the government appointed a National CZAR EDITOR of all the newpapers in the country that stifled freedom of speech and most importantly FACTUAL TRUTHFUL NEWS which YOU WOULD BE THE CZAR...here's how a typical article would be edited by YOU: "Small groups of men recently hijacked 4 airplanes simultaneously throughout the country that were filled with passengers. Two of them were going between 250 - over 300 miles and hour as they crashed into the Twin Towers of New York City killing thousands of people. At almost the same time, another of the hijacked planes crashed into the Pentagon in Wash., D.C. killing all passengers aboard as well as a number of civilian and military personnel serving our country. The other plane crashed into an open field in PA after passengers overpowered the men". That's YOUR idea of what should take place and what's relevant. I don't know about everybody else in here, but me...I WANT TO KNOW that they were MUSLIM TERRORISTS! Extremist MUSLIM bastards that not only did it here but in England and a number of other places throughout the world. Is it relevant?? YOU DAMN RIGHT IT IS! Get your head out of the sand (ooops, I forgot...there's not too much sand in one of the RICHEST states of the UNION like CONN with it's soooshy golf courses that you've played on. Is that relevant to anything?) Since there's no sand...get your head outta a fleshy fat part of your anatomy. Why don't you STFU already and practice your putting!
  6. Don't worry TarDawg...nobody here will do that. Fact is, if most of them did read Pennick's teaching in the Little Red OR Green book, they would find it TOO simplistic and say that it doesn't give enough information. They'd rather fill their heads with gobbledeegook that revolves around angles, positions, and planes to make themselves think they learned something and can then espouse this knowledge to others and screw them up through misinterpretation. Right on Bro....
  7. The rule of thumb for PGA tour players and most everybody when playing in Colorado is TOTAL DISTANCE MINUS 10% due to altitude and thin air. In other words, a 225 shot would recalulate out to 203 and they choose whatever club they normally hit 203. I experienced this phenomenon when I played in Denver and Durango and found it to be fairly accurate. I do know that I hit some drives that carried forever and were ungodly long. http://www.golf-trainer.com/golf-vac...vacations.html Here is an exerpt from the article: How about the elevation. Colorado is high up, even at Denver level! If you vacation in Colorado you will 10% to your distance due to the rarified air. If you normally drive 250, you will do 275. So, if you were at sea level playing in Florida you might be hitting it just a little over 200. Balls DEFINITELY go shorter at sea level with the heavy air and a sandy base in FL, I know because I lived in south FL for 12 years. Btw, Integra has been putting out good products for a long time.
  8. Don't hold your breath with those two jerkoffs. Apology isn't in their vocabulary when it's THEM that should be doing it. Hey, I think everyone in the country is blown away by what happened in VA yesterday. What a horrific crime and tragedy!
  9. And how many cars have you hot wired for a ride to get you to the parking lot of the FINEST resorts in the country to play golf? LMAO I'll bet you've played them all. LOL They have golf courses on the Black side of town in many cities, where I was and have no problems going to play as long as the game is there for action. Better watch I don't keep bringing the "itch" out of you. It seems sooo easy. Don't forget "IGNORE" now.
  10. I referred to us by color to set the stage for where it was in the bad part of town, who was playing and the color because it had no bearing whatsoever on the teenagers. They had no more respect for the pro as they had for us. I think you ARE sensitive and you're now pouncing on me like a typical yakkity -mouth "itch" that just needs to run her yakkity mouth and "itch" at a man. Go "itch at your boyfriend or husband. Learn how to use the "ignore" feature on this forum and place ME on it immediately. I'd certainly hate to see you turn into more of a "itch" if something rubbed you the wrong way.
  11. I don't believe in keeping things the same. If you want to use the same shaft manufacturer, that's OK. But you're better off using a different "series" within their overall product line that's better suited for hybrids and fairway woods as opposed to the driver. That having been said, I don't know that ANY manufacturer has a lock for "the best" in all categories. I find different manufacturers better at some product lines than others and am more apt to mix them up.
  12. Here you go. You can't flip a switch, but you can alter the position of the head and you'll have 3 different bounce angles on a 52, 56, or 60 degree wedge to suit the conditions or what you're trying to do. These are for low handicap golfers and pros. They're being used a lot on the Nationwide. http://www.reidlockhart.com/ Look at the quad bounce info and specs.
  13. Fuzzy Zoeller has always set up with the ball off the hosel. It may not be a compensation as much as it is just knowing the tendencies of their swing in order to get square impact. Zoeller sets up with his hands extremely low at address and somewhat bent over. But as he's coming into the hitting area he starts straightening and rising up which pulls his clubhead in closer to his body than at address. Zack Johnson has a swing plane that's more Hoganesque with a club head path that's inside to out with a lot of extension which lengthens his swing to have solid contact. A number of pros throughout the ages have set up with it either off the toe or heel. When it's out on the toe it's basically a reminder to them to get the club head path going inside to out and back to inside for solid ball contact. I know some pros with bad hook tendencies under the gun to set it up on the heel to remind them to make more of a "cutty" type swing by clearing their hips quickly to the left and then letting the arms and club head follow along that line.
  14. I'm kind of bummed out after seeing that you're an insurance adjuster. As soon as I saw your screen name I got excited and was hoping that you owned a perogi restaurant. Unless you're living in the right part of the country with churches holding bake sales, there only the frozen junk out of the grocery store. Welcome!
  15. How can a discussion of swing speeds be taking place ACCURATELY if you don't have any idea what your swing speeds are at full bore or with alterations such as a 3/4 swing, punch shot, safety or guide it down the fairway swing, the a$$ puckering swing, a knockdown, etc. There's only one way to know for sure and nobody has mentioned it so far... buy either one of these and carry it in your bag for range use to find out. http://www.opticsplanet.net/sport-se...ball-bats.html http://www.practicerange.com/detail.aspx?ID=687 This device is invaluable and will also help you to determine what swing changes are working positively or negatively as soon as you strike the ball. It will also help to figure out whether you have the correct shaft in your clubs.
  16. [QUOTE=Dent;46087] If i spend 179 dollars on a putter will it actually give me better results than a 38 dollar putter I can buy? whats the difference? If i spend more money will i get better results? QUOTE] It may give you better results than the $38 buck putter...but the next question is, will the $179 putter give you the results of a $220 putter? (A few pros have won PGA events with $5 putters out of the used bin)
  17. I just happened to see this review right here on The Sand Trap. com http://thesandtrap.com/equipment/clu..._driver_review For those of you unfamiliar with this particular head since it isn't sold in retail stores or the company isn't paying the big bucks to PGA players to hit it, this IS one ROCKET LAUNCHING SUMB!TCH when fit with the correct shaft for your swing speed. It is REAL popular on the LDA and a good number of finalists in the Re/Max World Long Drive Championship, as shown on ESPN, use this head: http://thesandtrap.com/equipment/clu..._driver_review
  18. Didn't you post somewhere on here that you normally hit a 7 iron 180? If so, how far do you average with a driver and what length do your bombs go? (I might have to start eating buffalo meat from Montana)
  19. Maybe it had to do with their combined SALARIES and they had to cut corners. My cable carrier is Charter and just prior to the Masters when the Golf Channel was broadcasting just about anything, a message was being scrolled across the top of the screen stating (from TGC) that Charter Cable would be severing TGC from their cable lineup as of April 4 and that subscribers should contact Charter and let them know you wanted it continued. This was nationally, not just a local area or state. Needless to say, I and everyone I know contacted Charter by phone, email, and chat to state our displeasure along with the fact we were going to cancel ALL services with them in favor of Direct or Dish TV. In my case it also includes high speed internet and phones. My one little voice (ok...big b!tching mouth) along with everyone else in the country moaning did something to save the coverage right at the deadline. Another message started being scrolled at the top of the screen by TGC stating that Charter would be continuing to carry TGC after "coming to an agreement of principal". I don't know what that means other than they were beating each other over the head for MONEY and PROFIT. Somebody had to cut corners and give in. I can't say if that's what broke those two up, if they are in fact permanently broken up, but it may be something you're unaware of if you have something else other than Charter Cable.
  20. How long is the club?? You can knock off 3 points on swingweight by taking 1/2" off the length. If you are a "BigHitta", don't go too light on the graphite total weight. You'll probably hit it like crap and not be able to feel the head or club much. Go 85 grams + in weight on the graphite.
  21. Melodramatic isn't even quite the word for it. When I got to the last sentence of the blog, I too was breathless and even had some tears streaming down my face. I think I'm going to search for the theme song of Rocky and play it. They kinda downplayed the fact that Vaughan Taylor was missing one short, (almost tap-in), putt after another with his SeeMore on the final day.
  22. I consider this the worst course ever for one reason, and a good golf course for another reason...Langston GC. At one time, Lee Elder used to own the course and it's in a pretty bad neighborhood of Wash., D.C. It was rarely if ever in decent shape, (actually it was in terrible shape) but one time I was playing with the black pro there along with another white friend and on a par 3 hole that bordered a street with a high chain link fence to guard against vandals and trespassers, there was a hill in front of a school about 50 yards away and a group of 3-4 teenagers started bombing us with stones, rocks, and bricks while we were trying to putt. All the hollering at them that we were going to call the cops only made them laugh, tell us "F" you "motherfkr" and throw more stuff. The good side was it was a great place to find daily action and gamble.
  23. And how long are you?? (I think I'm about ready to hear a "big fish story") Do you play it back from the "tips" on every course you go to...or at least as far as they have the back markers set? Are you long enough to play a 7,400+ yard Augusta National? Yes, accuracy is important as well. I forgot to mention that those big boys are hitting in a grid between 45 to 55 yards max. Do you have any idea what that looks like at 350-400+ yards away?? If the answer is "YES" because you're already hitting it that far consistently...then you and I need to talk serious business. I already mentioned how to hit it more accurately. Go to the training aids thread that I started. Get an x-large...they seem to run smaller than the chest size indicates. Btw...since you're from Littleton...do you know or have you ever heard of a guy named Brad Neher?
  24. What day of the week are you referring to??
  25. I watched yesterday and saw the half-moon marking in the center of the face which is a YES trademark. I'm sure you're correct. (I wonder how they came up with the name Sophia for a putter)
